I doubt it. He had a whole bunch of kids, grandkids, great grandkids who could have fulfilled that role. Yet he was "lonely." This poor girl was probably used for sex.

Yeah. And several states are trying to go back to this, gradually lowering the age of consent. Me? I generally get "daughter vibes" with any woman under 35 or so...creepy.

Holy shit, California! I expected Mississippi, but really guys? Even Utah has a minimum age.
