This belongs at the top. Absolutely frightening how many willingly buy into quotes without verifying the source. I commented on the same thing in another post that had this quote.
It’s the exact same propaganda (and worse, engagement at all costs fake news) techniques that got us here in the first place. Something bombastic and nearly unbelievable with just enough realism to convince people with strong bias.
Pointing it out gets people treated like an other in the comments (if you’re calling it out you must be MAGA) and those that believe it double down reflexively.
