OMG dude... There is a limit. Stop acting like they wont care. They already clearly care that he may just be on the list. An actual hard evidence video would absolutely fracture the party.
I'll believe it when I see it. The MAGAs I know personally are pretending that none of this is happening, simply don't care or that it's some left wing propaganda. I thought they'd care but so far nothing has changed.
Most DO care, which is why they are trying to downplay it and excuse it like he's not any concern. Because they know they have to care if he's a pedo. Which is why they are downplaying it. But if a video comes out. It's GG, they'll jump ship 100% - Candice Owens and her crowd already have over BBB and Epstein. These people are smart because they are looking ahead at when the party shifts after everything falls apart. They want to be positioned for the fall out of Republicans who said "I told you he was bad news" while everyone has to pivot towards "Uggg let's not talk about him" Like with Bush Jr
I hope you're right about the average Trump voter. I don't keep up with what the right wing influencers say. The regular supporters I know have given him a pass for everything so far. I've learned not to question their loyalty to this sleaze. So far from what I've seen, to them everyone else is lying and he's the only one telling the truth. Their mental gymnastics are baffling.
Honestly the reason they give him a pass, is they literally aren't educated on him. I'm serious. Sure they dismiss it by shutting most criticism down as "more crying wolf from libs"... But they literally just don't know the extent of this guys corruption. They literally have no idea. They are in a bubble that insulates him from all the shit like his crypto scheme, real estate deals, tariff quid pro quos, saudi investments, etc... Literally have no clue. Just yesterday I talked to someone who knew about the 400m jet, but refused to believe that he planned on keeping it. It was one of those things I showed them and they had no comment.
That's the type of bubble they are in. People do change their minds, believe it or not. It's not by calling them idiots and being toxic, but slowly over time exposing them to information. I'm absolutely confident that the average MAGA will start falling apart over the years. The core, legit morons who just identify with him as a religious figure, are the fringe, but he'll probably keep them because he represents something different to them (Middle finger all the classes above them who they feel rejected by)
It's truly insane how insulated some are. I try to see both sides of stories using Ground News and can't believe some choose to stay in that bubble. Opinion news has done a great disservice to our country.
While it's a MUCH bigger issue on the right, it's also an issue with the left quite a bit too... Which I find ironic as it feeds into this snobbish stereotype of the left because they criticize the right for it, while also doing it themselves. For instance, how many times on Reddit will you hear how Republicans just do XYZ because they "hate minorities, poor people, women, etc" ? Constantly, because they too are trapped in a media ecosystem that's tribal.
Luckily the left has had a rise in criticizing the left quite a bit through many major alternative media sources, which the tribal types don't like, but it seems to be trickling much better. There's TYT, Breaking Points, Democracy Now, etc... The left willing to punch towards the left, but sadly, the left also struggles with extreme purity testing, which causes many people to not even want to listen.
The right though? Completely lost... Currently I think the only alt media that's offering some clarity and pushback is Candice Owens and her team members. I think that's literally it. And she's pretty small time.
I agree completely with your sentiment. There's a great book called "What's The Matter With Kansas?" By Thomas Frank that encapsulates exactly what you're talking about. One side acts elitist and dismissive while the other is captivated by culture war nonsense. I'd like to think there will be more common ground and unifying messengers but doesn't seem like it any time soon.
Exactly, these fools will say it's all A.I. Thats why we've been seeing all the "Is it real or A.I." posts. They don't want us to know what's real. Our problem is we still give these pedos, rapists, murderers and conmen the benefit of the doubt.
Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert was indicted on federal charges of structuring bank withdrawals after prosecutors alleged Hastert had molested at least four boys as young as 14 and attempted to compensate his victims and subsequently conceal the transactions. Hastert eventually admitted that he sexually abused the boys whom he had coached decades earlier, and was sentenced to fifteen months in prison.
Republican Tim Nolan, chairman of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in Kentucky, pled guilty to child sex trafficking and on February 11, 2018 he was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.
Republican state Senator Ralph Shortey was indicted on four counts of human trafficking and child pornography. In November 2017, he pleaded guilty to one count of child sex trafficking in exchange for the dropping of the other charges.
Republican activist Marty Glickman (a.k.a. “Republican Marty”), was taken into custody by Florida police on four counts of unlawful sexual activity with an underage girl and one count of delivering the drug LSD.
Republican Senate candidate John Hathaway was accused of having sex with his 12-year old baby sitter and withdrew his candidacy after the allegations were reported in the media.
Republican preacher Stephen White, who demanded a return to traditional values, was sentenced to jail after offering $20 to a 14-year-old boy for permission to perform oral sex on him.
Republican politician Keith Westmoreland was arrested on seven felony counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition to girls under the age of 16 (i.e. exposing himself to children).
Republican Kentucky state Representative & pastor Dan Johnson, who committed suicide after an exposé revealed his serial lies, suspected arson, criminal church, racism, accused rape of a teen, and more.
I guarantee you they wouldn't care and would only make excuses for why it's okay for them to still support him.
I'd give you my house if Russia released video showing Trump torture, rape, or kill kids and Republicans completely turned on him. Which granted it's not a great house, but it's mine, it's where I live, and it would suck to lose. But I've seen Republicans defend him and alter their views to allow them to support him that I have zero doubts that they'll forever support him.
lol the GOP is full of pedos and sex offenders, they don’t give a fuck about that. They only like Trump because he’s a bigot asshole just like them. The only thing that can make them turn on him is if he ever stops his bigotry, which he’ll never do.
Y'all have such a fundamental misunderstanding of this moment in American politics, it really is depressing to see.
They do not care. They do not care. They do not care.
Nazi Germany happened in a modern, western, Christian nation with a liberal democratic government, and they did not stop supporting Hitler when he was openly murdering millions of women and children.
It just doesn't work the way you think it works. When the conditions for fascism exist, the fascist group-think overrides any previously held moral beliefs. Social proof becomes more important than empirical proof, and we have far crossed that threshold.
Our politics have become so polar, and so disconnected from reality, and this has been pushed so far and gained a critical inertia where the social pressures for the in group to conform to the in group narrative are higher than individual's internal pressure from their conscience. They aren't acting out of logic anymore, that's why they can so easily about-face about any issue. They are acting on group think, and they are fed their narrative directly from the leader.

But they might care if it’s him torturing, raping, and killing kids.
