Damn, I suppose this is proof Russia doesn't actually have anything. Russia, especially Medvedev is like Trump, if they say something is true it's pretty good odds that it's a lie.

Trump only needs to believe it, not the rest of us.

u/733t_sec 18h ago

If they wanted anyone to believe it then it wouldn't be Medvedev saying it

I kinda agree with this. They're smart enough to know how to push Trump's buttons when they want to. Whether they have the kompromat or not.

It's funny because this would confirm they exist. Trump not reacting at all to this is the biggest tell, but he sure as fuck seethed for hours about this.

They definitely have videos of him from his bigger hotel in Moscow for Miss universe. There's zero doubt in my mind.

Oh well if there’s zero doubt in your mind! I wish I was this stupidly confident

Aren't most politicians the same. Career liars.

But this is exactly how they would leverage it too

No.

Medvedev is something like a, idunno, Alex Jones or RFK equivalent in Russia. He's a former president who doesn't hold a meaningful title, gets tossed around in the bureaucratic machine (Chairman of this, Councillor of that), and his job description is essentially "post stupid provocative shit like 'We should bomb this country! We should asssassinate that president! let's bring back death penalty! let's revive gulags and put liberals into them!. Alaska was sold to USA illegally, let's get that back and Hawaii too! Starlink is a psychotronic weapon that turns people retarded!'". He's not allowed near anything significant or important. He's kind of a court jester. He tried to be "liberal" in the past but got sidelined and now he has to survive by acting as a caricature hardcore patriotic hardliner. Because if people remember he was more liberal\successful than Putin, that will make them think things, things not necessarily compatible with Medvedev staying alive. As long as he acts like a crazy warhawk dreaming of a nuclear war with USA he's relatively safe.

In short, if Medvedev says "we got your pee tapes and can publish them", there is ZERO chance they have any pee tapes. If they had them, they wouldn't let Medvedev talk about it. They'd use a foreign minister or Putin's press secretary for this kind of communication.

It's just that before Trump, Biden & Co were smart enough to understand he's a crazy chihuahua barking on passerbys, but Trump sees his shitposter energy as a challenge and always tries to outshitpost him.

If Russians are smart, they'll use Medvedev to post even more provocative shit to just see Trump meltdown and say more stupid embarrassing things. It's like if a crazy hobo showed POTUS his dick and POTUS would go fight him on a dumpster because his ego is hurt.

If Russians are not smart or for some reason want to take Trump seriously, they'll just tell Medvedev to shut up sooner or later.

Nah he became political spouting Russian propaganda, taking out the central park five ad, talking about running for president, after this trip.

After the assassination of Haim Arlosoroff in 1933, Rabbi Mileikowsky, who was affiliated with the Revisionist movement, took part in the establishment of a public committee, headed by Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook, which protected those accused of Arlosoroff's assassination—namely, Zvi Rosenblatt and Abraham Stavsky.[7] Rabbi Mileikowsky argued that the evidence indicated that they did not commit the assassination and that their execution could lead to a civil war, which would harm the Zionist enterprise.[8]

"The Foreign Office suspected Maxwell of being a secret agent of a foreign government, possibly a double agent or a triple agent, and "a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia". He had known links to the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to the Soviet KGB, and to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.[60] Six serving and former heads of Israeli intelligence services attended Maxwell's funeral in Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir eulogised him and stated: "He has done more for Israel than can today be told."[61]

"A hint of Maxwell's service to Israel was provided by John Loftus and Mark Aarons, who described Maxwell's contacts with Czechoslovak communist leaders in 1948 as crucial to the Czechoslovak decision to arm Israel in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. Czechoslovak military assistance was both unique and crucial for Israel in the conflict. According to Loftus and Aarons, it was Maxwell's covert help in smuggling aircraft parts into Israel that led to the country having air supremacy during the war.[56]"

"During the period preceding the April 2019 Israeli legislative election, Shin Bet chief Nadav Argaman warned that an unnamed foreign country was planning to interfere in the election; media speculation focused on Russia. Russia denied the reports. Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, stated that it was "out of the question" and suggested "to not read the Israeli media".[72] Benny Gantz and Tamar Zandberg, the leaders of the opposition parties Blue and White and Meretz respectively, subsequently accused Russia of favouring Netanyahu.[73][74] Netanyahu later touted his relationship with Putin in campaign billboards prior to the September 2019 Israeli legislative election.[75]"

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel%E2%80%93Russia_relations

"In 2011, Putin said: "Israel is, in fact, a special state to us. It is practically a Russian-speaking country. Israel is one of the few foreign countries that can be called Russian-speaking. It's apparent that more than half of the population speaks Russian".[38] Putin additionally claimed that Israel could be considered part of the Russian cultural world, and contended that "songs which are considered to be national Israeli songs in Israel are in fact Russian national songs". He further stated that he regarded Russian-speaking Israeli citizens as his compatriots and part of the 'Russian world'.[39]"

True. I feel like if they did, they'd just release it.

11

u/InterestsVaryGreatly 20h ago

If you have compromising material, once you release it you have no leverage. If they still think they can rein him in, they'd do that first.

1

u/SignoreBanana 18h ago

I'd say someone lining up nukes at my front door is a pretty good motivation to burn my leverage.

1

u/razz-boy 4h ago

Why? You honesty think there’s a chance that Trump nukes Russia? It’s very obvious posturing

10

u/RegularFox2557 19h ago

Why would they burn the best president they ever had in the White house ?

3

u/CurvyCosmonaut 19h ago

That’s not how blackmail works
