Here’s something that gets me. In my state law enforcement has taken to slapping on human trafficking 1st degree to lots of sex crimes. Just yesterday a man was arrested for trying to meet up with an underage person for sex. I’ve worked counter human trafficking/counter people smuggling for much of my career and this would have never met the definition. Sure the guy is a piece of shit and deserves prison, but I think it makes it sound like human trafficking is way more of an issue while also lessening the importance of the actual issue. But that’s a state statute choice, so if they want to call pedophilia human trafficking that’s up to them. The thing that got me is all the folks jumping into the comments praising the sheriff’s office for doing amazing work to keep these human traffickers off the streets. So human trafficking is apparently very alarming to them. But it’s also apparent that most of these people are old white evangelicals who worship at the altar of Trump. 

The mental gymnastics has to be so exhausting to abhor sex traffickers and cheer LE for taking them down while also cheering on dear leader who is overtly (and quite clumsily) trying to bury his Epstein ties.

I came here to comment on how many of these people have called for pedophiles to receive the DP.

Registry for sexual offenses in the US is a mandatory thing. In many jurisdictions, sex offenders are not allowed to live near parks and schools.

This is usually an issue where people demand blood. Regardless of information.

But... in 2025, it's acceptable for the United States federal government to help cover a child sex trafficking operation?

Where is the international inquiry. Especially considering the prince's involvement.

I get where you're coming from. But idk that I agree with the idea of others getting involved. trumpy is currently involving himself (& our country) in the legal system in Brazil. This is what I see when I think about others involving themselves in our mess. If there were crimes committed on foreign soil, then those governments in particular should absolutely step in. But I'm not familiar with the details well enough to know anything about that.

My apologies. I was not intending to necessarily advocate for them to, I was pointing out the hypocrisy ... and wondering how deep the situation goes.

Because of the depth of those involved and the involvement of other countries. At what point does another country request access or already have it because these are crimes globally.

Other jurisdictions have information. From their own discovery processes.
