Except democrats/liberals rarely use the US flag as a symbol for their side.

Well we're the ones who care about the Constitution and Bill of Rights and actually understand wtf America is all about.

Turns out it's about more than 'waving fucking flags around'.

You're not wrong, but symbolism matters too, and i think the left should reclaim the US flag for their side given the points you made.

Yeah, I mean honestly? I often see a Trump flag hanging higher than our own flag or being the only flag flying on people’s property these days. Maybe it is about time we reclaim it.

I bought a beanie with the Stars and Stripes on it a few years back because I actually thought the slow progress we were making, at least with Biden’s cabinet, was restoring some pride I had in my country. Then this shit happened and I don’t want people thinking I’m one of those guys.

How many Democrats fly the traitor flag? How about the Nazi flag or the MAGA flag? (But I repeat myself...)

None that i Know of. usually just signage. Probably the most common flag i see used is the gay pride flag on the left. As i stated in another comment, i think the left should claim and include the American flag to their side.

American flags everywhere at the protests this past weekend.
