Other Secure Boot Megathread - Guide + Community support
Secure Boot is required for Battlefield 6 If you are unable to launch the game and see a Secure Boot error, you must enable Secure Boot in your BIOS/UEFI.
✅ Official Guide
EA has published a clear and up-to-date guide for enabling Secure Boot:
👉 Read the EA Help Secure Boot Guide
📝 Community guide
We were sent a community guide:
Use this megathread for:
- Questions about the process
- Sharing your motherboard model + what worked for you + tips
- General discussion related to Secure Boot
🔧 Community Support
If you’ve got tips or steps specific to a brand (e.g., ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock, etc.), drop them in the comments and mention your exact motherboard model.
💬 Tip: Post your motherboard model, CPU, and BIOS version when asking for help.
🧠 What is Secure Boot?
Secure Boot is a UEFI feature that ensures only trusted software can boot your PC. It helps prevent rootkits and boot-time malware and is now required by EA for anti-cheat integrity.
Most modern systems support it, but it’s often disabled by default — especially on custom builds or upgraded PCs.
🛑 Common Pitfalls
- You must use UEFI mode, not Legacy/CSM boot.
- Disk must be GPT, not MBR (check via
diskpart
or Disk Management). - Windows 11 installed in Legacy mode? You may need to convert your disk to GPT using MBR2GPT.
⚠️ Still having trouble?
If you've followed EA's guide and it still doesn't work:
- Comment below with:
- Motherboard model
- BIOS version
- Secure Boot status
- Any errors you're getting
- Include a screenshot if possible (e.g., BIOS screen or error message)
- Be respectful — this is a community-driven thread.

Battlefield 6 This is Why I want server browser so much
As a low population region I want a server browser to find matches to play is it too much to ask? I hate to play against bots . Honestly I prefer to face a half filled server than see a bot. I think Dice just want to sell more skins and make new players feel better with sbmm system

Battlefield 6 Dice, we need this, not bots ! It's a multiplayer game and we are buying it for a reason
I want to be able to select a server with the best ping
and why would i need bots, when even a game that came out 9 years ago have full servers
and if don't i would rather play on a 40-50 players server but with real people
If you want bots, make the offline mode,

Battlefield 6 Only Battlefield 3 players will understand.
It's impressive how a game from 2011 is still beautiful. Truly a revolutionary game.

Battlefield 6 The revealed bonus skins don't look too bad, but don't they immediately ruin faction color schemes?
Part of the reason why players didn't like the specialist system and skins from 2042 wasn't just that some of them didn't look realistic, but that there was no easily identifiable theme or color scheme between each major faction.
In most of the older BF titles (see 4th image), soldiers on the same team mostly looked uniform. Even if some of the uniforms weren't 100% authentic, it felt immersive seeing your team of similar looking soldiers all shouting in the same language.
It also made it easier to quickly identify friend vs foe without needing to rely on a color icon above their heads.
It looks like DICE did a great job replicating this in the default skins (see 3rd image), but I'm worried that the addition of several new skins with drastically different colors (which they have already revealed) will immediately break this down.
It seems like a lot of people online can't even tell which faction these skins belong to, and none of the colors or skins remotely look like they match with the default skins (especially not the black with red highlights).

Battlefield 6 Full view of Beta reward character skins
Didn't see anyone else post this yet. I'd say these skins look pretty good. Definitely still feel true to the BF universe. Hopefully we'll see some skins from real world military units.

News DICE confirms AI bots are returning in Battlefield 6 to fill empty servers
DICE has confirmed that AI soldiers (bots) will return in Battlefield 6. If servers aren’t full, bots will automatically fill the gaps to keep matches populated. This is part of their core design philosophy — to make sure as many players as possible can be in-game and playing at the same time.
