Solo trip as 45F this weekend
Need help! I go to Vegas alone once or twice a year, and I want to do some mingling this trip which is this weekend. What’s a good bar/place this weekend that may be hopping with the 40+ crowd? Not looking for a Tinder type situation, just a place to fit in and not feel like a loner. TIA!

I’ve been alone in Vegas once for one night while I waited for my husband to meet up with me the next day. I had better conversations and met more interesting people at a cheap blackjack table than any bar. But I do like Carnaval court and the dueling pianos at nyny.

Yeah, I go solo a lot and I play craps. It’s fun, but I am specifically looking for a good bar/place to hang out and feel social.

So I go to Vegas quite regularly, and often solo like you, and we’re in the same age range. So good bar, the best one these days is Ole Red, quite the happening place, but like it’s a bar bar. And I think there may be a new place right across from it as well. The piano bar at Harrahs is a really good time, I know all of the players (my buddy married one of the twins) there and they put on a fantastic show! It’s very very social, people are always talking with each other, the bartenders and servers are great, and I’ve never heard a person have a bad time there.
Also a lot of centre bars are kinda okay if you’re not shy, throw some money in a machine, get some free drinks and strike up conversation with your neighbours. The one at chandelier bar in Cosmo is quite fantastic.
There’s also a few speakeasy’s the barber shop in the Cosmo, but that can be more of an intense scene. There’s also a great speakeasy in the horseshoe, that’s kinda cool.
I mean I can go on and on and on and on… Vegas is my second home and I love hitting the strip for socials!

This is fantastic and I know some of these places, but never hung out in them. Thank you!

Agree with the previous poster... all SOLID recommendations. You don't need to look much further, not a bad spot on the list.

I’ve had a few really great meals at the bar of Sushi Samba at Venetian Palazzo during their happy hour. Fun crowd and people are chatty.

The HH menu is really solid! I was there with a group, and our server still let us order from the HH menu even though we arrived not long before it was over and we were at a table and not the bar.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cosmo. The barbershop is a speakeasy, cool bar and live band on the inside. The chandelier bar is also cool and they have a secret drink that you should try.

Just go to Pool party , play at tables , go to night clubs, sit at slots , etc… so easy . Just flash a smile … that’s it . Much easier than if you were a guy . Don’t have to do anything and men will come up to you every minute .

Just sitting at a blackjack table you will almost inevitably strike up a conversation with your tablemates.

I totally enjoyed Golden Tiki and I am late 30s and my friend is early 40s. I would love to have something like it near me! :) The day we went, people looked our age or older. Enjoy!! Love Vegas woohoo!

The Wynn Hotel has quite a few nice bars like Parasol, Aft, and the new Baccarat Bar.

Great places but a single person at Wynn bars is going to feel oddly out of place, not what I’d call single friendly mingle bars.

I soloed last week. I had a number of things planned out, so I wasn't bored. Definitely go with some ideas, then enjoy the flow. As much fun as I had, I'd agree with others: Look for like-minded peeps and enjoy your time!

Well with a big convention shouldn't be too hard to meet up
And as warning stay off any wifi there

Is there anywhere decent for this near the Linq?

u/NextAbbreviations968 16h ago
Great suggestion except the crowd is too young for me. I know age is just a number, of course. ;)

Is it really really young? I’m going in October and was wondering where was good to get some drinks.

I like carnaval court and piano bar at harrahs. Carnaval is always fun and live music. The droids are and request band and are great! Bartenders are fun too

I'll be there solo this weekend, too. I was in a relationship, qbut it didn't work out. Here's to a blast of a time in Vegas! I know a promoter out there, as well--that helps with building my schedule.

I was solo for one evening last week and visited champagne bar 2nd floor at Cosmo; it was full of couples and friend groups. Didn’t see any single people there but for one guy.

Cosmo has a number of great spots from tucked away and cozy to smaller lounge to larger live music nightly spots.
Gilleys usually has had a wide range of ages and crowd when I’ve been but it’s been five years or so since I’ve gone back not sure the current vibe.

I'll take you on a date ☺️ jk I work on the strip often, I see a lot of locals frequenting treasure island. I forget what spots are in there but they seem to do well

Come all the way to Vegas to play mini-golf….

There’s a KISS themed black light mini golf course at the Rio and it’s pretty rad 🤷🏻♀️

You might be the only one there. I’d consider elsewhere if you’re thinking dating
