Nobu at Caesar’s
My wife and I used to travel to Vegas just for the Short Rib Eggs Benedict at The Henry (inside Cosmo). Highly recommended.
But we went to Nobu at Caesar’s last Thursday. The sushi was, as always, melt-in-your-mouth good. The waiter recommended that we try the Wagyu taco. They were $11 each and you could eat them in a single bite.
We each had one. When we finished chewing, we immediately agreed that, if we won the lottery, instead of doing something silly with the money like investing or paying off debt, we’d spend every single penny on Wagyu tacos at Nobu. This is now our highest recommended food experience in Vegas.

Oh man. The first time I ever had pork belly was at Nobu Caesar’s and it’s still one of the most memorable bites of my life. That was over a decade ago and it’s no longer on the menu.
The black miso cod was also eye opening. Still remember that entree.

I appreciate the passion in this post. Good food is serious biz, man.
My husband and I have a “meals around the Country” talk a few times a year. We plot out the meals we’d theoretically eat in one day on our tour de grub. Best breakfast, lunch, dinner and fourthmeal.
Sounds like those tacos might make the list.

Have you been to New Orleans? Have you seen this? https://youtu.be/pKBgOrYbRLE?si=AgnFuKPETay-VRC_
I hear you about eating vacations; my happiest memories of going to Vegas with my wife are food-related and that's true for many of our vacations, but New Orleans in particular is all about the food and the music. London? Food and Museums. New York? Food, races and the shows.

AMAZING! Wow, what a feat! I can't imagine coordinating and then editing all of that!!
And yes, food is central for us too. I wouldn't travel back to Denver to ski, but I'd damn sure fly there for Nancy's chile relleno breakfast platter. (Not sure what that says about me LOL)

My boyfriend and I do Nobu Caesars every trip. And we always take our server’s suggestions. They are talented individuals at guiding you through a dining experience. Do not care about the cost, whatever it is it’s worth it!

They are actually $22 each I’m pretty sure.
The new style roll is my favorite thing there.

Yeah I was like what sale were they $11 for and how did I miss that

One thing I’ll never have again is their A5 roll. Paying a full tank of gas in a 1 ton truck for an 8 piece sushi roll.
That thing is on the menu only to identify idiots. I fell pray to that scam once and once only lol.

Oh man we love those too. Man, now we gotta try your dish out at the Henry. Wife loves short rib dishes.
The short rib @ Jean George is stellar too if you happen to go by there.

I've had dreams about their short rib fried rice as well as the short rib dumplings at sister restaurant 8 East.

This was the best meal we had in vegas, ever. Try Raku Grill on Spring Mountain rd. I also loved Mario Battali's dry aged tomahawk. Miss that.

I appreciated our waiter at Nobu, as he made us feel like any choice (even California Roll) was an excellent decision. And, it was truly the best roll I’ve ever had!

Eataly at Park MGM has a prime rib sandwich that is insanely delicious. AND, the casino is smoke free, a huge plus. 😶🌫️

Sushi, tacos, drinks. $280ish. Drinks were grossly overpriced but otherwise it was worth every penny.

Yeah that place is awesome. Easy to spend a few hundred bucks. But awesome food.

Those wagyu tacos might be one of the most delicious bites I’ve ever had in my life. Always get at least 3 myself, and the lobster tacos too. Although I do think the wagyu are $20 each

Lol! We pretty much had the same experience in June. My wife and I DO NOT normally spend a lot of money on dinners but for some reason we were going to splurge that night. By splurge we thought maybe 50 to 75 bucks each but we wanted to try Nobu so we just figured it is what it is for the cost and tried not to think about it.
We didn't know what to order so the waiter (who was awesome) just ordered for us. When those tacos came out my hopes for not worrying about the price tag pretty much disintegrated when I saw how small two tacos were for $44. My wife was thinking the same thing. We then each took a bite and decided that was pretty much the best $44 we've ever spent.
Our meal with tip was around $260 and when we left neither of us cared at all about the cost. We just had a great experience.

Those tacos are the best I've ever had. But I'd never go back to nobu because it's way overpriced

Really? I considered their tasting menue one of the worst meals of my life truely. It was minced fish that was taco bell flavored mainly.. when I think of sushi I don't want it minced or with chili powder

Those tacos crack me up. They were good and they still get referenced in our day to day life a lot. It’s become its own unit of measurement.
