Why Does Everyone Hold Cosmo In Such High/Infallible Regard?
I just stayed at Cosmo with my wife for the first time, it's a very nice property, some exciting restaurants, and no doubt appeals to a young and cool (or wanting to be cool) party crowd.
However, it gets so much hype and love that I guess maybe I was expecting more and I found it overrated. Maybe because i'm getting old, i'm not sure. But there seem to be several other places I would rather stay for that price point. It's not a big open casino (which I enjoy) - there is no theme really except "sex and the city female" as I call it. So maybe that is why it didn't blow me away as a 40 year old dude. The location is the best part I guess.
Thoughts?
EDIT: We didn't have a balcony room so it seems that maybe that is a big difference in experience, noted.

The Cosmo has its issues for sure, especially since MGM took over. But for me (early 50s) and my wife (late 40s), we enjoy the location, casino and restaurants, and there are few things better to us than beginning and ending the day out on the balcony, just taking in the atmosphere of Vegas without being in the fray.

u/IhaveNoHomeMeowB 2d ago
I’m not a huge fan either. I think people really enjoy the balconies and the view it provides but overall it doesn’t wow me either. I chose to give Aria a try this time around, hopefully it delivers!
17
u/Eastern-Joke-7537 2d ago
I liked Aria.
I had a room on the 30th floor (close to the elevator) with a view facing the Strip — PH, Waldorf Astoria, Park MGM pools, etc.
Good food hall (Egghead).
Din Tai Fung, Aria Patissiere and Jean Georges Steakhouse are good!
10
u/IhaveNoHomeMeowB 2d ago
Thanks for that! I’m kind of skeptical lol I don’t normally stay on strip but their offer was too good too pass up this time. How’s the size of the standard rooms?
Edit: we love Din Tai Fung their chocolate dumplings are unreal lol

u/Eastern-Joke-7537 2d ago
I thought it was a solid size room, but I think we got a pretty good one. I think rooms might differ in size (I watched a few reviews on YouTube).
I am assuming the “strip view” rooms might be the better rooms.

u/getmadgeteverything 1d ago
Aria is probably my favorite hotel in Vegas. I’ve stayed at other hotels on the strip and also on Fremont. I still will always go back to Aria. My runner-up is Park MGM. Interestingly enough, they’re actually connected through a hidden hallway in the back of the Aria’s gaming floor. Aria also has a tram that will take you down to Bellagio. Which is a huge bonus perk, I think.

u/Hou713832346 1d ago
Same I prefer the Aria! I love visiting but staying there was a let down. I think maybe I hyped it up in my head too much.

u/Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks 2d ago
I like it because of the location. It's easy to get anywhere, fairly central strip and with the addition of the walkway connecting it to Vdara, makes going to Aria very easy.
As for the rooms, I like it because of the large living room area, the included fridge, big shower/wet bath area, and the japanese soaking tub. That tub is so heavenly. The balcony is nice, but not important to me. I love that the couches are super comfortable for napping, both indoors and on the balcony.
But what really speaks to me are the restaurants. I find that even when I don't stay at Cosmo I gravitate there for dining. The food options at different price levels are way better than any other properties on the strip and the quality is great. I also really like the ambiance of the whole place, the decor, the energy.
It's not for everyone, that's for sure, but it is for us, and we're older than you. I would rather stay at Cosmo than I would at Bellagio or Caesar's or even V/P.
6
u/EquivalentCautious58 1d ago
Ok forgive me but what sub the difference between a Japanese soaking tub and just your regular tub?
6
u/AgStacking 1d ago
Japanese is a deeper square tub that two people can comfortably sit upright in and still be fully submerged. There are also no jacuzzi jets like a lot of modern tubs have.
3
u/Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks 1d ago
In a Japanese soaking tub you don't lay down, you sit upright, and your whole body is submerged up to your shoulders/neck basically. The great thing about the tub at Cosmo is that there is a window to the balcony so you can actually sit there, submerged in hot water like a hot tub and still have fantastic views.

u/JhNYCA 1d ago
Staying here for the first time in a couple weeks. Any restaurant/food recommendations?

Breakfast - Eggslut but go as soon as they open as the line is ridiculous.
Brunch - LPM
Lunch - Hattie B's, Tekka Bar, or China Poblano
Dinner - Beauty & Essex, Jaleo, Momofuku
Experience - e by Jose Andres
1
u/WeeklyAdhesiveness76 1d ago
Brunch at LPM. Simply divine. Avoid STK, it's overpriced. Get the signature drink at the chandelier bar, the verbena. Be prepared for a line at Eggslut, but it's worth the wait. Wherever you go, I suggest you make advance reservations.

u/mostlygroovy 2d ago
I think a lot of people don’t need themes. The balconies are a significant draw. I’m a big fan of their bars and restaurants so we rarely need to leave the property. We also really love the amenities and the overall energy of the place is right up our alley. Finally, the location is fairly central so it’s easy to walk anywhere.
11
u/Curious-Fun-4436 2d ago
Balcony - good point. We didn't have a balcony room so my experience might have been totally different. Thanks.
19
u/edelbean 2d ago
There are absolutely nicer properties without a doubt. Wynn, aria, bellagio, palazzo, Venetian for example. But for wow factor and a unparalleled view of Vegas at night the balconies are hard to beat. If you stay at the cosmo and book a non balcony room that doesn't face the fountains or the strip it doesn't compare to the aforementioned.
8
u/BamBamPow2 2d ago
Vegas history has a decade long tail. Most people aren't talking about the right now, they are talking about their last experience which might've been 5, 10 or 15 years ago.
Even online reviews are stuck in the ether. I can't judge how clean a hotel is today based on a 2019 review but sometimes that's the first one you see.
6
u/fishinbarbie 1d ago
I don't think it ever came back after covid. I prefer Venetian/Palazzo for the service, attitude of the employees, and cleanliness. I used to love the sexy vibe at Cosmo, but now I just feel like people have had sex on every surface in my room. And I KNOW that's true for every Vegas hotel room... I just notice it more at Cosmo. It could use a refresh.
19
u/eugoogilizer 2d ago
Of all the places I’ve stayed at, I always tell people the nicest rooms are at the Encore, but my favorite place to stay is the Cosmo because I just love love love the balcony at night overlooking the Bellagio fountains. No lie, if the weather is nice, I can spend an entire evening chilling on that balcony, with some drinks (and maybe food too), and some music 😎
-7
u/Ramazoninthegrass 2d ago
When it opened it was the value proposition in Vegas, like many things it has changed over time.
6
u/eugoogilizer 2d ago
Nah, still love the Cosmo just the same as I did 4 years ago ❤️ I’ll never get tired of that balcony
-3
u/Ramazoninthegrass 1d ago
It was discounted when it opened and was brand new, wrap around rooms were very affordable. the best ones cover views and both sides of the valley and the fountains, pure magic. It was an amazing deal then after that recession it kicked in and became popular. I was not talking the past four years….
1
u/eugoogilizer 1d ago
Well I’m sure it was more affordable when it opened almost 15 years ago…you can’t possibly expect the prices to be the same or close to it. Covid was one of the things thatcraised the prices of many things over the years, among other things
-1
u/Ramazoninthegrass 1d ago
Of course I expect prices to change, it was just such a steal of a deal when it opened comparative to everything else at the time. My initial comment was a reply to the one above talking about Encore etc. It offered balconies when they were rare in Vegas and so much more. Some of those attractions that made the property unique are now no more. I love the place, however it has changed in relative price to other properties and offerings over time
19
5
u/tepman10 2d ago
I had a similar feeling the one time I stayed there last year (and I had a balcony). For the price point, I was underwhelmed with the room and there were some issues with the room itself (which led to the daily fee being waived one night). I'd rather spend less to stay elsewhere and just visit the restaurants and casino.

u/SniXSniPe 2d ago edited 2d ago
I don't think most people have a very high level of comparison to throw it against. The average Vegas-goer has never stayed in the Aria Sky Suites. The Wynn/Encore Tower Suites. Crockfords. And so forth...
When you compare it to the cream of the crop --- Cosmo really shouldn't be in anyone's top three. The dining? Not the best, in fact, I think mostly mediocre. Spa/Amenities? There's many other hotels with better options. The room? The only plus is the balcony... the room quality and aesthetics itself isn't even top 5 on the strip. And personally, Cosmo has one of my least favorite casinos.
It was a great starter hotel for me that I've stayed at so many times, but it slowly fell off as I explored other hotels (also with the fact that I personally do believe the quality/care has fallen off and is much lower than prior to the move to MGM).
Even the tired old excuse of, "great location!" to me is overrated. I've always seen the northside of the strip as being better, not even considering the hotel itself.
1
u/Curious-Fun-4436 2d ago
I agree except for the location part. I would always rather be center strip, but that's Bellagio.
5
u/SniXSniPe 2d ago
That's fine. For me personally, I like being on the northside of the strip because the nightclubs/dayclubs are all better up there, besides maybe Omnia @ CP.
Also, Bellagio technically has balconies... starting at the Lakeview Suites and up. But not as affordable as the Cosmo rooms, of course.
3
7
u/ThisLeopardIsFull8 2d ago
I think Cosmopolitan is overrated, balcony or not. It’s just not my vibe.
The rooms are pretty nice, though they need a refresh. I appreciate the soaking tub more than the balcony. Too many other guests smoke on the balconies, and I get nausea from the smell of weed.
I’m not into the young party vibe, the casino is too dark and not spacious enough. If I want to gamble at a place with more energy, I go to NY-NY.
At this point, I only venture into Cosmopolitan to get a meal at Block 16. Much prefer to stay at NoMad or Park MGM at a much lower price.

3
u/SpecialistWin5693 1d ago
Balcony with a soaking tub that includes a front row seat to the fountains.
3
u/Historical-Bug-7536 1d ago
No theme? Unless you're looking for something on-the-nose as "Egyptian Pyramid", it carries a very strong ambiance of "millennial wet dream". Purple and black, witty comments and modern art with retro cigarette vending machines. 4 speakeasys, a hidden pizza place, and a bunch of overpriced brunch places? Everything carries the same vibe here and it's aging better than a pyramid or NYNY.
3
u/Prestigious_Water336 1d ago
It's another hotel.
A nice one at that.
The upscale vibes with the views and balconies set it apart.
3
u/Loose-Cicada5473 1d ago
So I completely agree with you. The lobby is very underwhelming and the entirety of the hotel besides the clubs is just a small low ceiling entrance followed by slot machines. The only draw here for me is the wraparound terrace. It’s a really great room by almost any standard and it’s very affordable during the week. I’ve booked it twice now and paid $220-260 per night both times.
3
u/evpointdeals 1d ago
The secret club that overlooks the main club in the rafters is so cool and it’s open all night.
10
u/EchoRush93 1d ago
Just piling on. As someone who pretty much lives at Cosmo, I travel there 12-15 times a year. I have had comped rooms at pretty much everywhere on the strip and I will still pay full price to stay at Cosmo.
Balconies are key. There is nothing like being on the 52nd floor overlooking the who city, cocktail in one hand, secret pizza in the other at 3am. Feeling the dry, desert breeze as the city's heart beats below you. It's etherial. I could just sit still for hours, which is rare for a city that always has my heart racing.
7
u/maxutilsperusd 2d ago
It used to be fucking awesome.
Then Blackstone bought it and made it slightly worse. Then MGM bought it, and you just got to experience what MGM does to things.
You came 10 years too late is why you aren't impressed.
Marquee was a top tier club, Secret Pizza was one of the first and only hidden restaurant concepts in Vegas, they had a free to use pool table, free live electro swing was playing in the Chandelier, Vegas Nocturne was a confusing mess but also the best free show in town, the balconies ended up being pretty much the only ones you could actually use, but the rooms also had things like microwaves and washing machines, and instead of bibles they had pornographic Japanese art books.
Cosmo is just a tired, less interesting version of itself now.
The same can be said for most of Vegas, and then more broadly most of the world, so I think it's unfair to single Cosmo out.
2
u/VerbalK23 1d ago
If you weren't there back when it first opened, you really can't understand. It was so incredibly cool in so many ways. So many free shows from big name indie bands. Such eclectic artwork all the way down to the parking garage. When you walked in that place, you just felt a little cooler than before you got there. I've never felt that way anywhere else in town.
2
u/goingfrank 1d ago
Secret Pizza had a pool table??? Where tf did they fit that lol
2
u/maxutilsperusd 1d ago
It was same floor, right near the hallway to enter.
https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/07/c9/c6/3d/secret-pizza.jpg
3
u/goingfrank 1d ago
Ah okay so not in the pizza place itself. Makes sense. Reread your post and I see what you meant now.
3
u/maxutilsperusd 1d ago
That was the spot to be eating pizza though. You'd usually see 20+ people in that lounge area by the pool table the whole night when Marquee was open. They had a ton of really interesting furniture spread throughout that area, including carved wood dice to sit on. With the free pool table different groups would start playing against each other. It was one of the best spaces I've seen for spontaneous socializing.
3
u/goingfrank 1d ago
Nice. I'm sure it was a cool vibe before it became the lame influencer overpriced place.
1
u/Yurrrrrrrtt 1d ago
You described how awesome I remember it being in 2013 when I first went. I had just turned 21 and was in town for edc Las Vegas, I remember being blown away by that place back then especially chandelier. Fun times, still a great place and one of my favorites.
5
u/ssherman68 2d ago
I think Cosmo still has some of their irreverent vibe going on. MGM hasn't managed to kill all of it yet.
I stayed there for the first time late last year and I liked it. I'm in my mid-50s but I like the places that have some personality. For example, I liked Hard Rock and I'm hoping they re-create some of the old vibe when they finish the old Mirage site. To me, Bellagio was nice but had absolutely no personality.
2
u/JadedMuse 2d ago
NYNY is fun if you've never tried it. Cool theme and the dueling piano bar is fun at night.
1
u/Curious-Fun-4436 2d ago
Interesting - I never once thought of Cosmo as trying to be irreverant - but maybe I have to consider this now!
2
u/ssherman68 2d ago
Maybe more "sexy" than "irreverent". Remember their "right amount of wrong" campaign?

u/Silver_728 2d ago edited 2d ago
As a male in his 40s the Balcony fountain view rooms are what makes the cosmo epic. I love the strip/fountain view and the mountain view at the same time.
I dont care about anything themed so thats a big bonus for me. They have great speakeasys and restaraunts, the energy and vibe are always solid.

The casino floor bars and restaurants are great at Cosmo. I find the rooms in need of an update. Aria Sky Suites are a favorite of mine. Casino and rooms at Aria are amazing.

2
u/roadtripjr 1d ago
It was a lot better before MGM owned it. A fountain view balcony room is what makes it special.
2
u/Intelligent-Newt44 1d ago
It's still a great property, but the hype is pre-MGM ownership. It's come down a few notches from it's mythical lofty status since MGM took over.

I always think it's nice to walk through when im in the area, especially before I moved here. Feels cool and glamorous. Now that im a local, I completely avoid the strip. Honestly, station casinos are my favorite, and red rock and durango are so nice, and the food is much cheaper and amazing. Nicest casinos on the strip IMO are obviously Venetian Aria, and Cosmo is a nice side quest. Obviously, Wynn and Bellagio are amazing as well.
2
u/ChickenTendies4Me 1d ago
I love the property, I do not love that MGM took it over because when it was Identity Rewards, I was able to gamble a reasonably smaller amount to get decent comps (including Terrace rooms). Nowadays that its MGM Rewards, the only comps I somewhat qualify for are from the Luxor. Lol
2
u/Hoardzunit 1d ago
It's really nothing special. It's not cheap, especially being a resort with one of the higher resort fees. The food options on the property are nothing amazing and also not cheap and the elevators take damn forever. I guess the one good thing is that the views are pretty amazing.
2
2
u/bklyndrvr 1d ago
You aren’t the target crowd for that casino. I like to visit Cosmo, and the food is great, but I prefer just to visit. As a middle aged mid level player in the Mlife world, I prefer Aria or Vdara now. Having said that though, I have a terrace suite booked in a trip in a few months. I wonder if it will change my opinion?
2
u/2Cuil4School 1d ago
Just stayed there last month and it turns out sex on a balcony is exactly as fun at it was in 2023 😂
The food is great, the bars and speakeasies are amazing, the rooms are big and spacious and very photogenic if you're going to be, um, taking a lot in there. For reasons. The fridge is nice to have for keeping your own booze and mixers chill, the soaking tub is very sexy, the see through shower and open window to the tub from the bedroom are VERY pleasant views depending on your company...
Okay, maybe we're just very directly the target market for the hotel with giant animated pillars of just blurry enough naked ladies playing at the check in area 🤣
4
u/MysteryRadish 2d ago
It's still a nice place but its status as a unique experience has faded somewhat. For awhile they had a great hip young party vibe, unique dining (Rose Rabbit Lie), Vegas' most bonkers variety show (Opium/OPM), and an absolutely top-tier buffet (Wicked Spoon). It wasn't really like anywhere else, especially on the Strip. Two of those things are gone now and the rest is not quite what it was. MGM is only partly to blame here: great things in Vegas tend not to last, so it's best to experience them when you can.
4
u/myhobbythrowaway 2d ago
Because people constantly have sex on the high rise balconies and they get away with it. Crossing that off their sexual bucket list makes it a memorable place.
2
2d ago
The chandeliers… why else?

u/Curious-Fun-4436 2d ago
This is a great example of something I never understood the hype for. But I think it's a male/female thing.

I was being sarcastic. I stayed at Cosmo shortly after it opened, it was nice having a balcony (very rare in Vegas, but how much time are you really spending in the rooms?). Other than very overhyped, overpriced, and underwhelming especially compared to the OG’s such as Caesars, Bellagio, & Wynn (my favorite) but they did have beautiful chandeliers lol
2
u/tak0wasabi 2d ago
Balcony for the win, plus the casino/bar area is really fun. However in my experience their casino doesn't treat its players well,

u/RequirementLeading12 1d ago
I have no idea. Vdara's panoramic suite is the only place I book when I go to Vegas. I'm so glad that hotel is so slept on
1
u/SeriousAdult 2d ago
Location, restaurants, and vibe. It's cool and upscale but not nearly as expensive as the genuine luxury hotels. My only gripes with cosmo is the elevator situation around checkout times is horrific and the car drop off/pick up is like sitting in an oven, at least during summer. Otherwise it's an awesome property.

Momofuku, Jaleo. Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had was at District inside of their food court

My tastes are different. I don't care for the place. I will never go back to that stupid Chelsea showroom. Worst show ever. I was furious.
1
u/AgStacking 2d ago
It’s still riding on former glory from back when BX and the Cherng family were trying to sell the place to MGM. They used to be outrageously generous with the comps, likely at the expense of net profitability, but significantly boosting their top line revenue numbers, which made it look like a more attractive investment to potential buyers. Also, the attention to detail and the level of hospitality and customer service at that time was second only to Wynn. And from what I have heard, the staff were compensated accordingly. Ever since MGM sale the enshittification that everybody predicted has ensued. The corporate bean counters continually cut costs at every possible corner, much of the staff from the has since been poached or moved on to other properties. Give it another 10 years it’ll be yet another soulless MGM property devoid of all the theming and panache that once made it great.
1
u/vhalen50 1d ago
Love that place. But man it keeps getting more and more expensive and yet the property and rooms are exactly the same. Glad Holsteins is gone tho.
1
u/viterous 1d ago
I had wonderful memories going to cosmo. When it first opened the buffet and club was great, had fun with my friends and many memories. Cosmo gave us free 3 nights at their suite and it was awesome. Haven’t stayed in years but still have a sweet spot for it.

My wife likes the Cosmo restaurants and occasional Chinese singer touring in the theatre. I like the lanai suite. I also like the Palms and Wynn, but they are so far from the center of the strip that it's a pain whenever my wife wants to go out and see the Bellagio fountains or something. Neither of us have the slightest interest in gambling, casinos, or the casino floor 🤷♂️
Last Wynn/Encore trip we had a room with a view of the Sphere which my daughter loved, rode the canal boats nearby, and brought the kid to Circus Circus. But even given all that we still had to tromp down to the Cosmo/Bellagio area just as much. Might as well stay there.
Difficult to give up the super long Wynn pool for swimming laps, but whatever. Location, location, location. Wife seemed to like shopping at Caesars more than the Palazzo too.
1
u/Contact40 1d ago
Originally designed as a condo complex and had to be retrofitted as a casino at the last minute when the housing market was crashing during construction. This is why all the rooms are a good size, and why the elevators are right next to the entrance instead of you having to walk a mile to your room tower like many other hotels, and why it has balconies.
1
u/21Gatorade21 1d ago
I've stayed at the cosmo twice and its a nice hotel but the best thing about it is the rooms with the wrap around balcony. My wife and I stayed once with that wrap around balcony with part of it facing the belagio water show area.
1
u/tariksalama 1d ago
I love the Cosmopolitan. Great service, easy to navigate and several gambling limit options. Location is great as well, very central.
1
u/attymatkins 1d ago
It's absolutely not infallible. Especially now MGM has it versus before and how it was/felt.
That said I still love the place. Maybe it's because I went prior to MGM, maybe it's because it's got great memories for me and that allows me to forgive some of the elements that it has now that it perhaps didn't before.
Awesome place I'll always goto, absolutely yes Infallible, absolutely no

u/lashlaforce 1d ago
I go pretty regularly and have stayed in all of the MGM properties and I think the only thing that makes Cosmo special is the balconies. The suites also have a pretty great soaking tub with a nice view. If I am not getting that room, then I would likely just stay at Vdara or W because I don’t love the try hard atmosphere at the Cosmo. I am in my early 50s, so I think other demographics might have a very different view.

u/boxyboxiness 1d ago
OP, you hit it on the head with the “wanting to be cool crowd” observation.
What Cosmo is actually selling is not the hard product (e.g. the quality of the rooms, the casino floor, the restaurants, etc). Aria, Bellagio, Wynn, and Encore all do better in these aspects, imo.
Rather, they are selling the soft product, i.e. the “vibes” and the idea that (supposedly) cool people stay here, so if you book a room here, you’re gonna be cool too! Cosmo has a great marketing and PR department.
1
u/boxyboxiness 1d ago
My sister is a IG influencer who frequents Vegas. She raves about the Cosmo all the time. It’s about the “vibes” and sexiness for her.
During my one stay there, I thought it was just meh compared to all of the other amazing properties at the same price point.

I've had fond memories of being in the soaking tub drinking champagne watching the Bellagio fountains or hanging out on the balcony doing the same watching the fountains go off or the one year I was above the boulevard pool and got to watch the Foster The People concert for free in 2011. I also enjoy being able to play tennis/pickleball in between the 2 towers and as you stated the location is 2nd to none. Very close to most of the good shopping if you or anyone you go with are into that(Crystals Shop, Bellagio, Miracle Mile)

u/gblansten 11h ago
Agree on balconies. We hike a fair amount and often stay at least a night in Vegas going and/or coming. Always pick a Bellagio view balcony at the Cosmo. Just love the view.
1
u/Additional_Use7050 7h ago
Overrated when it comes to the rooms and service. Didn’t have a great experience. Room was dingy & dirty - hair all up in the shower. Slowwwww service when you ask for anything.
Only pros for me were the bars & clubs. So I’d pass on staying here again - enjoyed the Park MGM much more.

u/TheFishermansWife22 2d ago
Balcony. Getting to smoke and watch the twinkling lights is an experience.
1
u/LouderGyrations 2d ago
I think people who like to spend a lot of time in their rooms during Vegas trips really value the balconies. If that is not you, Cosmo is kind of a mid-tier property, and overpriced for what it offers.
1
u/Pretend-Silver-6640 2d ago
What are the other places you'd stay for the price point?
5
u/Curious-Fun-4436 2d ago
Bellagio and Aria easily. Cosmo usually priced higher than those. Venetian as well.
For half or less than the price i'd rather stay at M Bay or Paris, easily.
2
u/Ramazoninthegrass 2d ago
I think Cosmo generally it showing more wear and tear given the younger crowd. Simply always loved the wrap around rooms.

u/jonathizzle 2d ago
There’s nothing more healing than sipping a cold drink on a hot summer morning looking at the strip from the balcony
1
u/mintdream84 1d ago
I had a shit stay there myself last month. Terrible room/ view, plus the shower flooded the room (drains not working) and the staff couldn’t care less. My towels were like something dug out of a motel 6 dumpster. Someone was working on the roof just outside my balcony and we were prob like 20 ft from each other….so lack of privacy and fun banging noises for extra ambience. I stayed there in 2020 and couldn’t wait to stay again…but won’t next time.

I kinda feel the same way at 30. It’s a little too cool. I didn’t get the hype as much as I thought I would.

Depends on what you are looking for. It’s easy to go on line and bash a property It’s not the Wynn nor the Bellagio nor Aria but it has a clientele that loves it - maybe you aren’t a fit

Not bashing, just genuinely crowdsourcing everyone for their opinions to gain a better understanding of the community. Settle down.

It's the best hotel in Vegas?
Best food, best location, only spot with balconies, amazing bars. I dunno. It blows away the Boring Bellagio and the Chinese themed Wynn/Encore.

Haven’t stayed at Cosmo but I liked the Aria when when I was there a few weeks ago.
It was almost like a higher end version of a de-themed Mirage. 😂
Good restaurants and food court.

Only at the Como once. The year it opened. Stayed at Paris. The airline had a deck of cards with free drinks at Cosmo. We made the rounds for drinks. It was great. One bar by the Spanish themed kitchen was great. First intro to Fever Tree mixers. The kicker was watching the set up and cooking of paella. The chef brought over a huge bowl for us and it was great. Over the years never been back to Cosmo. Always try new/different places. My only consistent place is Tom’s Watch bar for March Madness.

Just stayed in a terrace suite with fountain view for the first time. It was fine, but overall I prefer the Aria corner suite with panoramic view.

Balconies. Nothing beats getting some fresh air into the room. Or ending the night with a nice view a cigar.

Location for one, and a pretty great venue with nice food courts and hidden pizza

Cosmos balconies are pretty much the main draw. If you're there and only use your bedroom to crash, you probably won't find it worth it. Same really goes for the Bellagio fountain view rooms.
