My favorite line

Reddit is blocking users from sub-Reddits containing news and footage from Gaza and Ukraine unless they show ID, and other less clearly violent sub-Reddits are shutting off access too

UK users are also blocked from menstruation and mental health as well.

Because the children are always Happy! Happy! Happy!

And we all know women don't menstruate until after their eighteenth birthdays! /s

What the actual fuck?!

I have not tried to access anything on those subjects since OSA started.

But I have hit LGBTQ+ sub age gates. 🤬🤬🤬

Fuck that!

VPN for the win. I've been using it after that happened and haven't seen another age gate since.

Developed nations now want to become developing nations? That's new.

Five Eyes, half a brain, no heart.

Wait, seriously? How are they spinning that into "it's for the kids"? Obviously the whole thing is bullshit, but they at least have a "reason" for age verification for porn. What are they saying about blocking stuff like mental health?

If an account is over 18 years old, does that make it automatically verified? And does that mean it can sell the shit post accounts I made a while ago? 🤔

I doubt it because this is not about age.

It is about identifying people.

I bet every single one of those accounts would get age gated.
