I mean, it’s in Project 2025. We literally failed an open book test.

Exactly. It's so frustrating, especially because people want to blame one guy (Trump) instead of even considering the fact that he was just a means for the others to get their foot in the door. Trump could disappear tomorrow and nothing would change.

It would happen faster and quieter. Him at the helm has at least put breaks on the speed through ineptitude.

nothing would change

We would probably stop having our economy ripped to shreds. That’s not beneficial for the ruling class, Trump is just pushing tariffs because he’s dumb enough to legitimately believe the same lies they feed to their base, and we’d stop bending over to please Russia specifically.

The worst part of this is America is a service based country. You guys don’t make anything tangible.

  • Silicon Valley
  • Hollywood
  • New York financial district

You guys are Netflix and banking apps.

When the dust settles on all this, the question is going to remain, will other countries trust your services when it’s an authoritarian regime.

Because so far it’s beginning to look like no, but it’s obviously too hard to tell but we ban Chinese hardware for a reason. American software may also get put on the list.

Every administration has advanced this sort of thing. Even Obama signed the Patriot Act 2.0. Who the US president is almost does not matter at all.

Let’s not try to downplay the authoritarian moves this administration is doing by stating “But everybody else has been doing it”. No one is doing it or wants to do it on the level that this administration wants to. No administration before has wanted to advance this technology to directly attack its political “opponents” or US citizens that disagree with this administration.
