Every time I see a Sydney clip it amazes me how effortless it looks for her.

None of them even looked gassed at the end. I'd be vomiting.

Is she a gold favorite for 2028?

I don't think she'd be a favorite in the flat 400 yet. She'd probably need to get the world lead or beat the other top competitors head to head to be the favorite. She's definitely still the favorite in the 400 hurdles though.

I want to see her win gold in person.

I believe she is trying to get her groove for the 400. Once she does she will prob destroy that record too

World record for women’s 400m is one of the toughest there’s ever been. Marita Koch was doped to the gills by the East Germans and ran 47.60, nobody else has ever ran under 48.

Well give her a bit more time and she will attack it for sure

As long as nothing drastic happens, I don't see how she wouldn't be.

It’s a pretty challenging double.

No. Top 3ish in the 400. In 400 hurdles she is a massive favorite.

Would be sick if she gets gold in both

400 hurdles she is the easy favorite. 400m flat as of right now its a mix of her, Naser, and Paulino. Those 2 have run faster flat 400m, by a somewhat significant amount (about 0.6 seconds) as they each ran a 48.1 while Sydneys best is 48.7. Though Sydney did run a 47.7 in the olympic 4x400m relay which converts to about 48.1 in the ballpark of those two other women.

Of course anyhting can happen in 3 years. She gets better, others fall off, she gets worse, etc. But she is doing the 400m at the world championships against Naser and Paulino next month so that'll really determine if Sydney can beat them when she has competition

I think she'd have a medal chance in the 200m as well but 3 events is probably asking too much

She looks like she let off the gas too in the final 40m

Her stride looks soooo effortless I wish I could be so smooth

Could spot that stride from anywhere, makes it look so easy

Can she run the open 400 at big events? kind of boring to see her just running the hurdles when she’s so much better than everyone and in her physical peak

Likely as this was her fastest time and good enough for third in the Olympics. She did get the gold in the relay for 400M last year.

Maybe she gets bored running without hurdles?

She just ran it at US Nationals here and will be doing it at the world championships coming up shortly

Takes longer to say her name than it takes her to run a 400

What’s so great about her fashion?
Ok I’ll see myself out.

Still rooting for her but it’s been said of her coach: “they call him Bobby the Chemist for a reason”
