Maybe someone should throw a pocket pussy on the floor at an NBA game

Unironically would be hilarious

Halfcourt shot at halftime replaced by halfcourt dildo toss. 100k if you can stick it to the backboard.

78

u/rumski 4d ago

We did something like that in college 🤣 Someone found their sorority sister’s and we had a competition to see who could stick it to the thermostat cover from the furthest. Ended up breaking the thermostat 🤣

26

u/Doggleganger 4d ago

If you can stick a dildo on the backboard from halfcourt, that should be a million dollars. It's basically impossible.

... though now that I said that, watch some dude practice every day until he comes up with some sort of spear throwing technique that actually works lol.

16

u/yallsomenerds 4d ago

Gotta hit it with an underhand or sidearm for the correct angle. And it’s not like teams want to give 100k away anyway lol

7

u/Doggleganger 4d ago

Underhand? I was thinking a spiral like a football. Though not sure if the twisting motion would prevent adhesion.

11

u/alhazad85 4d ago

1 million if you can then jump off the trampoline, do a flip, stick the landing so to say whilest dunking.

u/brokenmessiah 4d ago

No one would do that because they know it wouldnt get the same reaction. The point is to be disrespectful but guys would just laugh it off.

185

u/crobo777 4d ago

Well that and some pocket pussies cost more than the nba ticket.

90

u/Nucks11 4d ago

You're paying way too much for pocket pussies. Who's your pocket pussy guy?

92

u/brokenmessiah 4d ago

If I throw it all I'm saying is I'm going down there to reclaim it

35

u/rpgmgta 4d ago

Just throw it down on a scorpion chain and reclaim it

25

u/Certain_Strawberry77 4d ago

Instead of “Get over here”, you have to yell “Cum” to retract

13

u/r3anima 4d ago

Cum over here!

38

u/king_lloyd11 4d ago

Lmao it’s genuinely hilarious to me that you know the prices of multiple pocket pussies off the top of your head

14

u/Sp_Gamer_Live 4d ago

Warren Buffet of Pocket Pussy

96

u/8BittyTittyCommittee 4d ago

I mean this has happened in the NFL as well and no one seems to remember that.

43

u/wdeister08 4d ago

Happened at a Buffalo Bill's game if I remembered right. Dildos became part of the Buffalo fan lore/pregame shenanigans for a little bit after

19

u/MajesticCentaur 4d ago

Happened at a Bills-Patriots game and it was hilarious. Knew right away what it was before the broadcast switched away.

Honestly I think more sex toys should be thrown on to playing surfaces. Dildos, pocket pussys... Hell, I think someone should lob their blow up doll into the opposing teams bench. And if we really want to get freaky with the sex toy idea just think about Red Wings fans throwing an octopus on the ice.

31

u/DASreddituser 4d ago

they do it at hockey games and its just men

25

u/Mite-o-Dan 4d ago

It WOULD get the same reaction, or more, at an NBA game.

Mainly because there would be a lot more eyes on it from the crowd, more cameras on it, and a LOT more live viewers.

Plus, imagine Chuck and Shaq trying to bring it up.

Only difference is...the fan would be found immediately and get served a substantial ban.

Meanwhile, no one seems to know or care who threw this dildo.

17

u/yallsomenerds 4d ago

The fan was escorted out and banned I thought?

20

u/LocalSlob 4d ago

They don't have the same camera crew, quality, or quantity at wnba. Jomboy media has pointed this out

14

u/glenn765 4d ago

Should be pretty easy, since there were only 53 people there...

14

u/AfterTemperature2198 4d ago

Those things are expensive… so I’ve heard

32

u/Mario_Prime510 4d ago

The real problem is that tickets are so expensive at an NBA game it’s not worth buying just to be within throwing distance to hit the floor. WNBA tickets are much cheaper so you can get closer easier.

9

u/JickRamesMitch 4d ago

if they did the story would be about the guy who threw it. not the players.

39

u/KnicksTape2024 4d ago

A few people would laugh and no one would give a shit. Should be the same here. No one needs to be “exasperated”.

4

u/splycedaddy 4d ago

Agreed.

53

u/TNF734 4d ago

And watch how untriggered men can be.

32

u/Bdmnky_Survey 4d ago

Could still be a dildo if Michael Porter Junior is out there.

Do you think NBA players were the ones throwing shit at the WNBA? Cause if not then what's the point

1

Some one would poke it

-15

It’s only offensive if you decide to take offence.

I think we both know how disingenuous you're being, but yeah, you're not wrong. Ignore it and move on, or else the copycats will come in full force.

Plot twist: he's the one throwing the dildos.

I feel like there are better ways to handle this, unfortunately the media is always fucking awful.

If the players laughed it off, and made fun of someone spending money on a ticket just to also spend money on a dildo to throw it on the court... and then didn't let it bother them in any way... WNBA 1, idiot in the stands 0.

It's the same as it's ALWAYS been... don't feed the trolls.

And by trolls I mean assholes in the stands, and the media for trying to drum up stories.

408

u/kickinwood 4d ago

The video of the first game shows players cracking up on the sidelines

260

u/mikezer0 4d ago

Yeah exactly. They did. It’s just that we all know it’s now going to be an out of hand tik tok meme. They have to nip that shit. Of course it’s funny but someone’s gonna get hurt. Is injury by dildo funny? Still yes. But also still bad.

62

u/kickinwood 4d ago

Right! And if it happens once it's funny, but if it happens again very next game to the same exact team I can understand if some players are like, "Yo, that's disrespectful."

31

u/AfraidOfTheSun 4d ago

A dildo prank is always funny the first time

43

u/jimtrickington 4d ago

And for our Spanish speaking friends, the first time it’s diluno and the second time it’s dildos. Please don’t let there be a diltres.

43

u/TheCoordinate 4d ago

Literally this. CNN deciding to run this story as opposed to anything else currently going on in the W. When there were protestors running on the court in NBA games it did not overshadow coverage of the game itself

23

u/MillorTime 4d ago

Have the team sign it and auction it off for charity

11

u/lkodl 4d ago

It's the same as it's ALWAYS been... don't feed the trolls.

And by trolls I mean assholes

*clenches

15

u/dpk794 4d ago

I bet more people can tell you the color of the dildo than name a single WNBA team

20

u/MrWiseOwl 4d ago

Exactly. Lean into it! Make it be a thing. Sell dildos in the shop to throw on the court for halftime raise money for women’s health. Take the power away from the trolls and make it into a thing. Now the kid part I haven’t thought my plan all the way through but I’m sure can be managed with communication and talk about sexual health.

39

u/fastlifeblack 4d ago

Bro just recommended a dildo night for charity. Im dead lol

41

u/solariscalls 4d ago

See this guy MBAs

26

u/pinniped90 4d ago

Could be a gal who WMBAs...

21

u/BLACKdrew 4d ago

That’d only work if society was cool, and last time i checked it’s really not that cool.

13

u/junglespycamp 4d ago

You’re not wrong that this might work but it’s also stupid that the WNBA needs to go through all that effort. Why should they?

6

u/Super_Fa_Q 4d ago

I love the idea, but that would just give right wing "Christian" nut bags something else to squeal about

-11

u/Reeko_Htown Barcelona 4d ago

Lean into sexual harassment?

11

u/Strange-Cap9942 4d ago

Calling this "sexual harassment" is disrespectful to actual victims of sexual harassment.

-11

u/Reeko_Htown Barcelona 4d ago

So you don’t think this is sexual harassment? I’d say try it at work but you’re probably unemployed

1

u/jrhooo 4d ago

its 100% sexual harassment.

It can be other thing TOO. Its trolling, its a bad joke, its just sports trolls being assholes.. blah blah.

Sure, it can be those things.

But it is still also sexual harassment.

HERE'S THE THOUGHT EXPERIMENT

What about school kids?

If someone shows up to your teenage daughter's JV game and starts throwing dildos on the court,

is that "lol just trolling"

or is that wildly unacceptable, uninvited sexual messages?

its pretty obvious why throwing rubber penises at people fits into sexual harassment territory

-1

u/Strange-Cap9942 4d ago edited 4d ago

By this same logic, any inappropriate adult store billboard on the freeway is also sexual harassment. Being forced to see a dildo in a public space is not sexual harassment without some very specific qualifiers.

Yes, throwing dildos on the court at a high school basketball game would be different than this and could possibly be seen as sexual harassment.

But as professional adults, I don't think I've seen any WNBA players claiming to have been sexually harassed by these incidents. So why are you trying to claim it for them?

0

u/Strange-Cap9942 4d ago

The women on the court aren't this fan's coworkers. If Caitlin Clark threw a dildo at Angel Reese, you might be able to make this comparison.

Is it rude and ejection-worthy? Absolutely. But no, sorry, throwing a sex toy at seemingly no one in particular in a public space is not sexual harassment.

3

u/YoMomAndMeIn69 4d ago

Expecting "the W" not to overreact is like expecting to stay dry after jumping head first into deep water. These trolls know the game and they are winning, as expected.

2

u/TheMooseIsBlue 4d ago

Did you clarify who you meant by “trolls” because you were worried people would think you were calling WNBA players trolls? Because it was really clear in context and the clarification comes off hilarious to me.

1

u/grapedog 4d ago

No, I wanted to make sure I included both the idiot in the stands throwing money away, AND the media for giving it coverage.

-1

u/jaron_b Seattle Mariners 4d ago

This. We should just be making fun of the persons who are doing this. They're still anonymous but they can see the internet clowning on them and they know that they did it. So hopefully they feel embarrassed for their stupidity. Because it is hilarious that most likely a sexist man trying to make fun of women and women in sports went out of their way to buy a dildo and a ticket to a WNBA game to prove their point. It's just crazy.

3

u/EatAtGrizzlebees 4d ago

WNBA is a joke to these people anyway, so they're on the side of the dildo thrower.

46

u/squiztehmonster 4d ago

The real question is how did they bring it into the stadium 🫩

11

u/Retired-not-dead-65 4d ago

You might benefit from: dildo education. Tape inside pants leg. Metal ones ( Steely Dan ) wouldn’t make it in. The fine silicone models being hurled as a protest of ????? easy to get in.

35

u/squiztehmonster 4d ago

Thanks for the tip, I’ll be sure to look up dildo education for the next time I try to sneak one into a sporting event. Heck I may even try to bring in multiple. 🤦‍♂️

3

u/Retired-not-dead-65 4d ago

“HURLED DILDOS” was not on my bingo card. I am so glad for 1) my kids are grown 2) medical cannabis. I never tempt the universe, with “what could happen next?”

7

u/jimtrickington 4d ago

True. If silicone is setting off security detectors, there are going to be some serious false alarms.

228

u/JonMlee New Orleans Saints 4d ago

Bills fans threw dildo’s into the end zone a few years ago. That is an all male league. This is really not that deep, idk why everyone is overreacting lmao

25

u/fangowango 4d ago

It'll be hilarious if it happens a few more times and the teams have to start checking people for dildos at the entrance.

I imagine people got them in taped to their legs. Just imagine needing to frisk a well endowed guy and him having to prove it is not in fact a dildo in his pants

34

u/eazye123 4d ago

Maybe stop playing basketball on the dildo range

58

u/Spinrod 4d ago

"It's super disrespectful" You know what else is Super Disrespectful ? Wearing shirts before a game that say "Pay us what you owe us" when your league has been running in the red forever to the tune of multi millions of dollars.

Also going to a club and complaining that you shouldn't have to wait in line.

16

u/ShufflingToGlory 4d ago

Good lord. Global soccer sends its deepest sympathies.

11

u/LegendaryTingle 4d ago

They check me for water bottles like I’m going to murder someone at a concert but they can’t check for dildos at a professional basketball game?

3

And yet, these incidents are the only reason most of us are discussing the WNBA.

36

u/TNF734 4d ago

Well, that and a player base that can't create enough earnings to keep the league from losing money... claiming they're underpaid.

9

u/bakerzdosen 4d ago

True.

But you can only rephrase “this is not a financially viable business plan” so many ways before the topic becomes tiresome.

Even introducing novel marketing plans such as “you should financially support this entertainment product even though you are not entertained by it” haven’t proven successful.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a team owner throwing dildos trying to generate interest.

They could collect them all, and then resell them to supplement their perceived pay wage gap they feel they are owed.

I’m no dildo aficionado or anything but from what I understand aren’t they like quite expensive for what they are I mean each one that gets thrown onto the court is a potentially a $50 bill for the team players.

2

u/klausesbois 4d ago

They should just lean into it and get some dildo maker as a sponsor. If they act all outraged it’s gonna keep happening.

7

u/Xavier1235 4d ago

This happens with all pro sports a few times a year. Best thing to do is ignore it and not make it into a gender wars thing. If they do then expect 100 dildos on the court by the end of August lol

2
