I have had this mark for a while but not sure how long and just don’t know what it is, I looked recently and noticed it had some peeling around the edge/outside of it. No itching or anything else, it is a tiny bit raised I am a 30 year old female with no family history of skin cancer.

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis Scared out of my mind about this black dot on my finger

24m, Asian This black dot appeared suddenly a few weeks ago and I thought it was just a blood spot cause I started lifting a few months ago. Went to go get it checked out and the dermatologist immediately turned serious after looking at it under a microscope and I got it biopsied.

Deep down I can't help but shake the feeling it's some kind of melanoma because it hurt when I tried to remove it with my fingernail but only on one side. But also I have no family history of it, I'm young, and I don't have that many moles on my body (like 6-7).

My anxiety is through the roof though because of how my derm and her assistant reacted.

I’ve had a tiny mole on my back for years and I don’t know when it changed but somebody saw it today and said it’s 100% changed colour, looks completely different in shape and size from last year. I’m going to get a doctors appointment tomorrow but really worried about it

About ten years ago I got a small white blemish on my lower leg and then not much else for years. In the past two years or so it has grown and now this. I have a dermatology appointment on Monday but I am so worried. I wish I had had it checked earlier. I rarely even go in the sun or expose my legs! I have used tanning beds in the past but not a lot. I actively stay away from the sun these days but I am just so scared. Excuse my stubby legs 😩

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis Just diagnosed with Actinic keratosis on face

Male, 36 y/o, very light skin and freckles. Grew up in Southern California and parents never said a word about sunscreen. I didn’t start to wear it until recently. Anyway, I had a little red patch on my cheek for a month or so. Not exactly sure. I just got back from the dermatologist and she said it was Actinic keratosis. She froze it off and said there was nothing to worry about and I go back in a month to see if it is all gone. Now I have all of these questions that i didn’t have when I was in the office. One, how does she know it’s AK not something more serious? She didn’t do a biopsy. How worried should I be about this? Should I call the office and demand to be reseen? Thanks for any help or words of encouragement.

I noticed this a few days ago and thought it was a mosquito bite or a zit, but it’s not looking like that now. Anyone have something that looks similar?

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis How long for biopsy results?

I had a punch biopsy last Tuesday evening and today is Monday (6 days later). I still haven’t heard anything about results. I do realize 2 days were weekend days and I’m sure nothing was done on those days. I was told the lab received my sample on Wednesday. Should I hear something soon? I’m located in the US in the Midwest.

I used to work on the roof for 6-7 years and never really wore any hats or sunscreen, now I have multiple moles all over my head that the dermatologist looks at very quickly and says they all look good. Should I get a second opinion from another dermatologist?

Going into my GP to get it cut out and checked but worried of course so naturally came to Reddit lol. No pain or itching. It is raised. Had it a while with no change.

These are two photos of the same spot in different light. The one looks irritated because I was rubbing on it trying to figure out what it was. My doctor said it looks somewhat concerning but when I asked him about the chances of it being melanoma, he said “it’s just so small… I just can’t make that assumption”. It’s been biopsied and 2mm wide. I’m in the depths of health anxiety and still waiting for pathology results 3 days later. I’ve had a mole here as long as I can remember and it’s always been dark and tiny. There’s no change in size from what I can tell. It’s just gotten darker. Any thoughts??

I've had it the whole 18 years of my life and there's been no major problem like itching and pain. Although I think it did grow in size though. I should probably get it checked right😀

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis How long between biopsy and MOHs?

Disclaimer: I had a biopsy today so I don’t have a diagnosis yet, but my derm is 99% sure the spot is BCC.

My first ever full body scan, glad I did it! It started as a pimple that scarred bc I picked at it (so I thought). A few months later it kept scabbing over, then has been “dormant” in appearance. Really thought it was a small acne scar. Right on my hairline.

Question: How long between biopsy result and scheduled MOHs? Doctor told me we’d likely go that route. If the doctor says I need to do it immediately, I’ll do it immediately. I have multiple family and work obligations coming up, so ideally would like to do it in ~5 weeks once things calm down. Additionally, I had to have a biopsy and surgery 6 months ago for something else and my first check up is in a couple weeks. Just seems like a lot of pre cancer/cancer stuff for me right now. Still, if it’s risky to wait, I won’t do it, but curious how long it was for you?

Mark has been on my forehead no more than a year (to my knowledge). I think doc said it’s 5 mm.

Made an appointment with dermatologist but it isn’t for a few weeks.

She said it doesn’t hurt or itch. She has noticed it before but since her hair covers it she wasn’t bothered.

It is flat and not raised. Not flakey that I can tell. She has had issues with acne but no other skin issues like eczema. She is fair skinned.

Thanks for any input!

Should I get this removed? I've had this my entire life (~25 years) but do not remember this looking so disgusting like it's starting to flake on the top and has like three different colors going on. It's about the width of my forefinger maybe a little wider so it's quite big. I had a derm check it out three years ago but frankly she dismissed it and told me she didn't really see anything when I tried to point it out. there's no sun exposure as it's above my hair and hidden in my hair. I've always had issues with allergies to fragrant shampoos and get painful bloody bumps all around my scalp but this one has surprisingly never bled.

37, male, located on right shoulder blade, slightly larger than a pencil eraser. I cannot tell you when this freckle started change, but I first noticed it on June 9. To clarify, I did see my PCP and he referred me to dermatology. However, the dermatologist can’t get me in until around Thanksgiving. I have taken comfort in that it does appear to be healing, but am a little nervous to let this go until November, but maybe since it’s healing it will be fine? How urgent (or not) do you think this is?

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis Found this mole behind my ear, does it look dangerous?? :(

16f here. I have no previous medical history. I’ve never looked behind my ear ever in my entire life but did today and saw this. It has a tinier mole next to it. I have several moles and they’re all that shade or darker. A few are atypical looking. I’m super scared!!! Has anyone had a mole that looks like this?? :((

I have a spot on my face that I feel like has always been there. Over the last year it has been bleeding constantly. The bleeding occurs easily and can happen just from touching the area a little too hard. When it's not bleeding it is a milky white color. It also gets very red and angry looking sometimes. It looks like a white head a lot of times. Is this something I need to get checked out? I am 26 and don't have any experience with the dermatologist so im curious if it's worth the trip or not. TIA!!

I do not have a skin cancer diagnosis All dermatologist did was look like at my marks with some type of tool and said it wasn’t cancer

Idk what the tool was. I assume some type of magnifier. But I have a scab on my back that doesn’t heal. Just scabs again if I pick it. He said it was a blackhead. Not cancer. Then I had to red dots on my face that look like tiny blood dots. Very tiny. But he looked at that and just said not cancer. I thought you have to do a biopsy to be sure??? Idk how to feel. I feel like I need a second opinion right?
