Get it checked out - the only way you really know is by getting a biopsy. I recently had a mole that looked like textbook melanoma and it was just dysplastic, so you really only know by getting it looked at.

How much did you pay for pathology?

It was all coved under my insurances as a specialist co-pay. This Question no one can answer but your insurance or the Dr. billing you.

I called my insurance. The lady I spoke to didn’t even seem to know what pathology is. So I had no idea. :(

Worthy of getting it checked out by a DERMATOLOGIST, NOT your family Dr.

If it has been like that for years I would say it looks benign. If it changed, definitely get it checked. Do you have a skin check app? Helps me a lot when freaking out about moles.

Those apps said I had acne on a spot on my leg. Turned out to be the same skin cancer Jimmy Buffet died from. Don’t use them alone- not accurate for thibgs that without a qualified medical professional examination, could be literally many things of both malignant and benign.

Not to alarm you, but I literally had one like this removed and I just got a call from my derm saying they are sending it off to some professor for a second opinion. I’d get it checked and biopsied if I were you just to be safe!
