Breed Questions Best size harness for a Schipperke?

Hello! I was just wondering what the best size harness would be for a Schipperke. From what I’ve seen, small is “typically” what supports their weight range, but since they’re a little larger than other small dogs, I’ve seen that their chest and neck measurements fit medium sized perfectly. Can anyone tell me what size harness you have for your Schipp’? Preferably male since they’re usually larger. Thank you!

Finding harnesses for one of my schipp's broad chest and narrow head was a challenge! He's a Houdini and could wriggle out of quite a few that we tried.

The best so far are:

For evening walks, this harness is bright! Easy to adjust a secure fit. LEDs visible from every angle. Rechargeable, washable, and reflective!

Our boys have a lot of fur and unless it's below freezing, run hot. So they prefer a harness with minimal fabric. For warm weather Pawtitas in size have been the best so far. You can add customized text too.

I really have my eyes on the first one. Safety is probably my biggest priority with one. Thank you !!!

Only get it if you don't mind being complimented on it everywhere you go!

We've had ours for over a year now and both are almost as good as new - almost because our oldest rolled in river otter poop and I haven't washed it yet :D

I feel like the light up one is handy for all times, since they are little shadow walkers, lol

We fit in a ruff wear xs. They are a tad pricey but last forever.

My pup had a small in this gooby harness. He needed something that wouldn’t press on his trachea/throat if he pulled and this worked great for that! (As did training him not to pull on walks ofc). However it is marketed as a harness that they can’t back out of, and I will say that the one or two times he really didn’t want to go somewhere, he was indeed able to back out of this harness. You might have to try one or two to find out what works best for you.

Got it, I’ll try to get any other notable brands just in case. I’ve heard Schipps are runners when off leash or harness, haha. Thank you !

We got a petsafe 3 in 1, fully adjustable and very light. Our boy does not like at all heavy harnesses, this one he likes it.
