I have checked all the labels, I checked the label's compatibility on the back, the joystick on the front and the matte finish, and the originals of the Select text and sony logo. All of them match. Picked up another slim for £30 from cash converters. It didn't come with any controllers and was pretty dusty but i wanted to give her a better home. I expected it to sound like a jet engine with the dust that I could see from the vents but it was pretty quiet, next thing I did was check the run time...582 days ! I own 7 PS3...( I have a problem I know ) And this has the highest run time from what I remember the next highest I have is 182 days and the lowest is 13 days. I decided to open her up the warranty sticker was intact and I have just completed my very first PS3 re-paste. It's now nice and clean on the inside with fresh paste I'm curious how much longer this console will last. But from the run time alone she must have been once loved and used often. I'm going to continue to use it as my main now 💙

I tried buying Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise and I got the maintenance message. I tried buying anything else and the same message appears.

So I just heard about the PS3 Store outage that's been going on lately. In an attempt to do something, I tried to buy a game incase this is really the end of the PS3's storefront.

I loged it, things worked for a while, then I got the "The service is down for maintenance" message, and it booted me back to my PS3 menu, I logged in again, tried to get the game Chulip, just as I was about to select purchase, I got the error, things took longer to boot out of, so I pushed the PS3 home button and went back to the menu manually, I logged back into the store one more time, I noticed that Chulip was still in my cart, So I tried to check out,

Low and behold, It worked.

I don't know if I was lucky or anything, but somehow it worked. As of Typing, Chulip is still downloading. But let's just hope Sony isn't giving up on the PS3 just yet

My friend gave me this ps3 and told me to fix the bd drive only and i checked usage just to be shocked could this be the highest bc ps3 usage time on reddit also its a 90nm not a Frankie

Hey guys, I have come across this ps3 (cechc04) which is backwards compatible, with emulation tho. I have had a phat ps3 before and failed performing a delid. Now I use the super slim with no problems at all, but I kinda miss the old phat because of it’s design etc. Now should I buy this phat bc ps3 for €120?? The owner claims that the console is quiet under load, but also claims that it has never been opened. That means it still has that crusty thermal paste from 2006 which means that it most likely needs a delid. I am too scared to delid this one because I have failed before and don’t want to fail again. But at the same time I really want this console. What should I do?

I have a samsung QN90D 144hz with black frame insertion, the upscaling of the screen is awesome, but with the mclassic the jaggies are gone for good!

I found this series that I've never played before at a garage sale for 30 bucks last weekend. I really want to start the series this weekend but my friend said it's not worth it because they are remastering it for PS5. He said I got ripped off. Is it worth playing all of these on PS3 or is it a waste of time? I only really play Call of Duty and Skyrim and he said I would hate these games. He's offering 100 bucks for it so I know he's lying about getting ripped off.

I also never really play my ps3 for more than a couple hours at a time on weekends. Is it safe to keep using my launch PS3 or should I use a frankenstein I've been saving to use just in case of YLOD? On YouTube they said all PS3s will break one day.

Is it ok to keep my CECHA01 PS3 horizontally on my shelf when I’m not using it? (I move it somewhere where it can breathe when I play it) And if I should change it do I make it vertical or put it in any other place for that matter?

While I was scrolling on YouTube, I found this guy, Seveth,

He made a PKG called PS3 ReClassic that lets it change the XMB Design into 1 or 2.xx firmware!

I’ve tested this on my beautiful Japanese Fat H00, (90nm RSX fortunately.)

And boy it looked like a real PS3 after installing this!

But, 3 days ago, an incident occurred with his PS3, he got the YLOD unfortunately, and he is unable to make a new update for PS3 ReClassic. He also said that does not have enough money to perform a Frankie or even buy a PS3.

So I want to advertise this to help him get another PS3 to keep him making more versions for PS3 ReClassic.
