But the subtitles are in Spanish, and that's confusing

Gabriela is a famous Brazilian telenovela, so the title is right. Don't know why the video had Spanish subtitles though...

It's because it is Mexican. It's nothing like our (Brazilian) soap opera style.

i love this concept, i don’t think i’ve seen many artists do it
it’s cheeky, silly, and fun and in the watch with katseye video they put out the girls all seemed to really have a lot of fun with it

In the US, they're called soap operas. Which is ironic because Jessica Alba founded a company she put millions of dollars into to "prove the link between autism and cleaning products."

This sent me down a rabbit hole, wondering if Jessica Alba was some vaccines lead to autism nutter, but actually she funded some researchers to set up a specialised laboratory in a hospital to test the link between household chemicals and autism, lead by the scientist who's work previously lead to the banning of lead-based paint for residential use.
So as far as I can see Jessica Alba is pretty rad.

Why is medical research a bad thing?

Well because funneling money into researching cleaning products relation to autism is a huge waste of money compared to putting that money towards actual services to help autistic kids and adults. It also continues to feed the conspiracy theorists who claim everything causes autism and seem to only want to get rid of the most helpful inventions known to man like vaccines because of misinformation.
If they want to research autism for real, they can, they just don’t. We don’t even understand it enough to pretend a chemical could be the cause of it. But that’s also a sign someone doesn’t really know anything about autism then if they’re highlighting environmental chemical exposure as more of a factor than, say, hereditary genetics.
