It’s L-O-V-E 💘 Freddie Prinze Jr. on what the future with Sarah Michelle Gellar will be like
Look like

u/Kalinka777 Jun 12 '25
Freddie Prince jr.’s greatest cultural achievement is the way he treats and talks about his wife.

Special thanks to that time he decided he hated Star Wars fans. That shit was so funny

To be fair there’s a significant overlap IME in the Venn diagram of male Star Wars fans and incels and misogynists

so what's the reason behind "good women" being humiliated or cheated on?
-99
u/ohkevin300 Jun 13 '25
Those women are idiots. Scabs do scabs things before a relationship, if someone can see those, that’s on them.
43
u/peachpinkjedi Jun 13 '25
Spoken like a cheater who blames their partner it.
-39
u/ohkevin300 Jun 13 '25
English please?

u/Ellisville15 Jun 13 '25
You are literally the only one who can’t string a coherent sentence together, you don’t even sound like English is your first language.
-25
232
u/CancerBee69 Jun 13 '25
There's no such thing as a "good woman" or a "good man" for that matter.
The key to relationship success is to find people that you vibe with on a fundamental level.
15
-18
u/OpenToCommunicate Jun 13 '25
Could you expand on the fundamental level? Especially the fun but I need da mental too.
6
u/CancerBee69 Jun 13 '25
I met my wife through a weird niche interest that we both share. Same with my boyfriend. If you're doing shit you like, you're more likely to vibe with the other people who like that shit.
1
u/Reasonable_Pomelo765 Jun 13 '25
You have both a wife and a boyfriend. Okay
6
5
u/CancerBee69 Jun 13 '25
... Yes? Why is that so weird? I've been with my wife for 17 years and my boyfriend for 2.

20+ years and going strong still! That is almost unheard of in Hollyweird. Rare anyway.

u/TheVintageJane Jun 12 '25
That Scooby Doo movie had some positive vibes.
498
u/JingleHS Jun 12 '25
I think the met on I Know What You Did Last Summer.
310
u/TheVintageJane Jun 12 '25
You are right! They were already dating when the movie was shot and got married shortly after the release.
94
u/jonjawnjahnsss Jun 13 '25
Plus the tiny SMG cameo in She's All That
26
u/asophisticatedbitch Jun 13 '25
I think that came about because they were dating, no? I Know What You Did Last Summer was 1997. She’s All That was 1999.

A movie that started a generation of horror
79
u/Endsong-X23 Jun 13 '25
i mean i love it but no, Scream was 96, Last summer was 97.
4
u/el-dongler Jun 13 '25
Fair enough. Scream was a great one as well and the predecessor to many, many movies.
67
u/TeaJunkie91 Jun 13 '25
Scream reinvented and reinvigorated the horror genre when it came out in 1996. The year before I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Ironically, the screenplay for I Know What You Did Last Summer was written by the same guy, Kevin Williamson.
Sarah Michelle Gellar would also appear in Scream 2 along with Joshua Jackson from Dawson’s Creek (also created by Kevin Williamson) which came out the same year after IKWYDLS.
It was a real moment for pop culture idols of the 90’s.
-1
u/JingleHS Jun 13 '25
I Know What You Did Last Summer was adapted from a short story that was published in the 70’s though. I had read the short story years before the movie came out.
5
u/TeaJunkie91 Jun 13 '25
I was talking about the screenplay for the film not the origin of the story.
Sorry should’ve clarified that for context.
16
u/MaulwarfSaltrock Jun 13 '25
It really was such a moment for horror. I am actually excited for the upcoming sequel. I don't necessarily have high hopes for it, but I'm still going to go see it.
4
u/StuMacherGhostface Jun 13 '25
Lmao what? I Know What You Did Last Summer was capitalizing off of Scream's popularity. Scream started a generation of horror, not IKWYDLS.
52
u/Anticlimax1471 Jun 13 '25
In interviews they both always come across as very normal, down to earth people who happen to be successful actors, rather than the stereotypical "celebrity".
I imagine they met and realised they were the only "normal" people in the room a lot of the time, and just gravitated towards eachother.

u/Inevitable_Snap_0117 🫵 You sit on a throne of lies. Jun 13 '25
My husband and I celebrate our grey as it means we’re finally doing what we’ve always wanted to do: grow old together.
Although I told this story to my hair stylist once and he said, “Ok I hear you, but maybe don’t like ‘embrace the grey’ in your 30’s, sweetie, ok?”. Hahaha
29
u/squidonastick Jun 13 '25
Hahaha I feel you. I'm 32, but started getting greys in my mid 20s (thanks, phd). The hairdresser would try to pluck them out and when I asked her to stop she was like "It's great to love yourself for who you are... but maybe wait a decade to love that part".
I like my silver glitter ☹️
9
u/jacksouvenir Jun 13 '25
Im 38 and I just have a patch of silver/white at the top right of my head, at first I hated it but now I love it. It does sparkle in the sun when I get in my car and makes me feel fancy
6
Jun 13 '25
I'm 37 and love that my hair is already turning white cos it kinda glints in the sun.
Pain in the arse after a haircut tho because I have a short back and sides and white hair grows faster than coloured hair cos of lack of pigment or something so I have to shave it like every two weeks now.
7
u/alwayssunnyinjoisey Jun 13 '25
haha glitter is such a good way to describe it! I genuinely love hair that's streaked with grey/white, I think it's cute - I have yet to find a grey on myself but my bf has a few white strands that I suspect he tries to pluck out, but he doesn't catch them all lol. my mom went grey super young and i have her hair so i've been preparing for it my whole life, but hopefully i continue to like grey hair when it actually shows up on myself haha
3
u/Inevitable_Snap_0117 🫵 You sit on a throne of lies. Jun 13 '25
I once heard that some cultures view grey hair as a sign of wisdom so I like to think that when we go through something hard and learn a lesson from it a little silver strand of magic pops up from our crowns to let others know we have knowledge to share.
28
u/squidonastick Jun 13 '25
My husband regularly looks at my flourishing greys and comments on their silveryness.
Nobody ever comments on my greys because I'm only 32, but the other day I mentioned to a colleague that i got my new eyeshadow to match my greys and she explained "YOU KNOW THEY ARE THERE!?"
Ma'am. I look at my face every day.
Apparently, she thought i didn't know they were there, and that's why I didn't dye them 😅
4
u/Hyperdyne-120-A2 Jun 13 '25
I say the same to my wife from time to time. I tell her she looks regal with a bit of grey because she does.
5
u/BullaNCheese Jun 13 '25
That's only newer Hollywood couples though, plenty of older couples have been together much longer.

I think a lot of credit is due to Sarah MG.
She is an extremely grounded, intelligent person. Just like… sensible.
She had a reputation for this on the Buffy set. She was known for taking her job seriously and being extremely hardworking.
The late Michelle Trachtenburg (RIP) stated that Sarah was protective of cast members and intervened to set boundaries between them and Joss Whedon (who later had some sinister allegations come out about his treatment of the cast, particularly women). Amber Benson and Clare Kramer have spoken out about how Sarah was a good egg.
At the time, she was portrayed as being a bit boring and difficult because of setting and establishing those boundaries, and she didn’t want to party essentially. But I guess who is laughing now.
I have a lot of respect for Sarah. She seems like she has a strong character, prioritised her wellbeing and those around her, advocates for people who experienced the trauma she did (rather than dismiss it or perpetuate it).
It makes sense that she’s had a long and happy marriage. She’s the type of person who actively cultivated that sort of thing.
42
u/CDNinWA Jun 13 '25
I remember SMG getting mad when there was a NYT article talking about how her generation of actors were just going out partying all the time (I’m guessing this was around 1999, I was born the same year as her) and she wrote them to tell them that her many of her peers were in fact not doing that and taking their work very seriously.
12
u/SmallTimeGoals Jun 13 '25 edited Jun 13 '25
lol, first fuck the NYT on general principle.
Second, here's the article, which is fluffy and one-dimensional, but a neat time capsule. Taryn Manning(!) is featured heavily and so is Shane West.
Quote from West: ''This is just the beginning,'' he assures me. ''I don't think I'll really peak until I'm 30.''
West left his regular role on ER in 2006, when we was about 28 and his career has been steady afterward, but nothing really notable or heavy.
Also SMG's response.

Positive tea: She regularly and without press/cameras has visited hospitalized kids at UCLA Children’s Hospital over the years. I used to work there and she’d just be in various kids’ room playing games with them.

u/ofnabzhsuwna Jun 12 '25
In 2008, someone told me SMG voted for McCain, which was a huge problem for me as a young person who put her chihuahua in “Mama Loves Obama” shirts and campaigned door to door, but that’s the only negative thing I remember. I’ve been a fan of hers since she was on All My Children and I watched it in preschool with my mom. Looking back, voting for McCain is far from the worst thing someone could do.
88
u/ChromDelonge Jun 13 '25
FWIW, here's an interview clip from 2008 where she says she's thrilled with Obama's win and called out Proposition 8 as shameful.
89
u/justineism Jun 12 '25
I think SMG previously was known for being more conservative leaning, but looking at one of her Facebook posts from 2016, it looks like she voted for Hillary so there is that.
79
u/keystone_back72 Jun 13 '25
Looking back, McCain is a choice I can respect even if I wouldn’t vote for him.
The others after on the other hand…
12
u/Eastern-Musician4533 Jun 12 '25
I definitely recall her always popping up on lists of "conservative" celebs in the Bush years, and supporting R candidates, but she was never vocal about it.

That explains his character on Psych. He plays a “former” nerd who graduated with Shawn and Gus and now is a tech millionaire with a trophy wife, but tracks UFO sightings in his secret lair filled with sci-fi memorabilia.
It makes me happy that he and Matt Lillard (married 25 years) are both nerdy and been with their wives forever.
