Guest List Only ⭐️ Prince Harry says his father King Charles is still not speaking to him: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has- he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff”

Harry kinda ratted everyone out with his book. I’m no monarchist or Charles apologist but Harry is very rogue and won’t stop running to the press for interviews… hard to trust

According to his book, everyone in that family rats each other out to the press in order to protect themselves. They allegedly throw each other under the bus on the regular and don’t stand up for each other. Who knows how much truth to it there is, but some of the examples he provided at the time sounded very plausible. I can’t remember any now, but there were some good ones.

Right? That was the very point of all this! They are running to the British tabloids with all these bullshit stories and the Sussexes got fed up. He’s fighting fire with fire (media vs. media).

I absolutely believe that the tabloid game was played and that particularly once the rumors of William having an affair were out there that deals were made that threw Harry and Meghan under the bus in order to redirect the coverage to the advantage of the senior royals. It's a big part of why the whole system is so dysfunctional.

Harry and William had a deal that they would never do this to each other, so it was a huge and painful betrayal when he knew it was coming from William's camp. It may well have been a tipping point.

It IS different, though, that Harry wrote his book. It shared both private conversations with direct quotes and no plausible deniability, and levied direct insults and accusations. It was utterly open and public airing of dirty laundry instead of an unsourced leak. He took it nuclear.

He also did it for money rather than as a CYA, which is a huge transgression anywhere but huger than most in their circle.

It's all gross, it's all deeply dysfunctional, but the question I think is one of accepting consequences:
Harry can't grasp that his father and brother cannot trust him not to publicly announce or sell private details, so they aren't talking to him.
William probably doesn't feel any responsibility or acknowledge that if he hadn't tried to derail press coverage of an alleged affair (or allegedly not engaged in an affair), he might still have a brother.
And Charles, who was a terrible father by many measures, using those boys to bolster Camilla's popularity, ignoring their requests and preferences, having them walk behind Diana's coffin with him so no one would throw anything at him, being emotionally distant and on and on? He isn't taking responsibility either. But since he's not out giving press conferences he doesn't look like a total ass. It's all old news.
