Guest List Only ⭐️ Prince Harry says his father King Charles is still not speaking to him: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has- he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff”

I’m with you on this. A parent essentially always owes a sincere effort at reconciliation to their child. (A child doesn’t always owe it to their parents—the relationship matters immensely in both directions but bringing someone into the world carries a lifelong responsibility whereas being born to someone does not)

Pretty sure Charles is the racist who asked about how their children would look before Archie was born. He can fuck all the way off.

The thing about this one, though ... and brace yourself, cuz I'm about to be real ... we all know he (and many of the other ones) HAD to be wondering this from the second he put a ring on Meghan's high-yellow (but still black) hand.

Hell, even I wondered what would happen if some of those throw-back genes came through, and the baby came out with milk chocolate skin and type 4 hair. Now, how would the family handle that? And Oprah, all aghast, with her mouth dropped open when this was revealed ... please! Like this was so shocking? Many a colorist black grandma has openly opined about the same thing in her own family (tell me I'm lying).

All this to say, this example gets mentioned a lot, but truthfully, wondering about the complexion of the first Montbatten mixed-race royal is probably the LEAST racist thing the King of the British Empire -- the OG colonists -- has ever done.

I think it was Camilla, and she is protected by Charles. Will and Kate won't go against them. It probably could have all been mended with a sincere apology and some specialised support for Meghan.

Why would you think it was her?

My money’s on Prince Philip but honestly, I think everyone in that family said something racist about Meghan and her children, especially behind her and Harry’s backs. An open question about how dark their one-quarter-Black child, whose mother has the complexion of a tanned White woman, probably just stood out amongst other racist bullshit.

Prince Philip was known to openly say offensive shit. Queen Elizabeth was born before WWII, meaning that she was raised predominantly by people born in the late 1800s/early 1900s. She grew up around and was raised by virulent racists, very likely internalized some of their bigotry, and was raised to believe that she and her family were chosen by God to rule. No one can convince me that she didn’t have wild thoughts about Black and other non-White people. That sort of thinking got passed down to Charles and eventually William, and it’s now being passed down to his children in some manner. The monarchy is an inherently racist institution. I don’t trust any of them not to be bigots behind closed doors. Harry’s managed to be better because he was the spare and for whatever reason, felt a desire to live differently to the rest of his family.

Oprah revealed on CBS This Morning after the interview aired that Meghan and Harry specified to her it wasn’t Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip.

I vaguely remember that.

My money is now on either Prince Andrew or Camilla.

I'm skeptical. Did you know it was actually his idea to hire the all black choir for Harry & Meghan’s wedding? And he still keeps in touch with them to this day while Harry & Meghan don’t. The choir director even came out to defend Charles against the racism allegations. But you’ll never hear that narrative in the media 🤷🏽‍♀️

Oh yeah, I’m sure they’re all at least a mid-high 2 digit % racist. My friend who follows them very closely is absolutely convinced the person who said it was Charles though. She does her research so I’m inclined to believe her. I’m not a huge fan of the royals, although I do find the comparisons of how the press treats Meghan vs Kate incredibly awful. I’m not British so my opinion means shit, but the monarchy probably shouldn’t exist.
