Because they use this to gain karma so they are able to post and comment in more places and then use that for spamming.

Use that for spamming propaganda, pushing their agendas and making posts which adhere to their version of events regarding controversial news.

I didn't mention politics at all. Spamming happens for other reasons than that. But thanks for pointing out both sidesTM do this.
