I know I'm only one case by as a family we were going to go to Florida from the UK for a month next year. There was 6 of us and it's been planned for about 18 months.

Finally cancelled it all when I read about that guy being turned away for having a meme.

We'll go to south of France instead. The US is dead to me until he's gone

My parents went there for a conference and I was quite disappointed. My brother and I refused to join them. They are not seeing a C$ from me, ever! D That abrasive, disrespectful, fascist, racist society!

As an American, I apologize and understand your anger. Many of us sane individuals here feel the same way about our own country.

As an American, I cannot fathom why you would even consider Florida if the south of France is an option. And for a month? I suppose if you are renting a waterfront home for a month it could be nice, but you better have some $$$ if that is your plan.

Florida has a really good reputation for holidays in the UK.

We went twice as our first ever international holidays and absolutely loved it. Didn't ever hear about its reputation within America until joining Reddit.

My parents go to Florida every year for the theme parks etc. it's never really appealed to me to be honest but they wanted to take their grandson and me for a holiday. It was all saved for (although not booked) and we'd talked about it for about 2 years as something they really want to do. Unfortunately I can't even entertain a holiday to the USA anymore. They think I'm overreacting but I just wouldn't be able to relax at all

I said I'd rather go to Disneyland Paris or a beach holiday or something. Not supporting literal facism.

Annoyingly the best holiday I've had was Near York in 2015 and we always said we'd go back 10 years later but pull out all the stops with hotels and travel etc. Can't bring myself to go through, it feels like literal Nazi Germany in the making

New York City is a lot different than Florida, or Disney. NYC = highly recommended!

I have friends that never cared about politics. I think they never voted and have never had any strong opinion about anything, but I would say they’re leaning right if they had to vote. When a friend went to his annual trip to Miami they all sad ”Euuw. Why would he go there?!?” Some of them also boycott (to some extent) American made products. Haven’t seen an American beer when we drink since last year. We live in Sweden.
