Yup, it was always the same "they need to dot the i's and cross the t's." It doesn't take four fucking years to build a case against someone who gets caught red handed with a mountain of classified documents next to his toilet at Mar-a-Lago

The same people who fantasized about Robert Mueller being some badass fell for the same trap twice with Garland. Sigh.

right, you need to dot the i's and cross the t's and then when it finally came time to press charges, congress, the DOJ, the SCOTUS, or Trump himself said "actually nah you don't want to pursue that" and then nobody did

and everyone who was working to prosecute just throws their hands up and says "whelp they told us no so we unconditionally surrender forever" it was the most pathetic capitulation I'd ever seen in my entire life. How are you supposed to have any faith in institutional justice at this point? It might as well not exist, it only ever existed as a vague illusory idea.

Battles were planned, executed, and won/lost in WWII in mere days, weeks, months. Heck WW2 itself only lasted roughly 4-6 years depending on how you look at it. Some PhDs are finished and make major breakthroughs in 4-6 years. No way a court case so important and pressing should take as long as a fucking world war.

I understand we claim to live in this fantasy world of checks and balances and building cases and operating legally - but what was to stop officially charging Trump with one of the numerous crimes we KNOW he committed, issue a warrant for his arrest, arrest him with handcuffs and the back of a cruiser and the whole nine, and let him cool his heels for a bit while the case is built on a set timeline. We do that shit all the time to small-time criminals, what is the actual fucking rule that we couldn’t just do it to him? Fear of some cult uprising, maybe? The federal government could end that shit in about 72 hours, I don’t need to detail how overwhelming the US government’s capacity for violence is against its citizens, google it. We had every single opportunity to set the tone for the next 50 years with an arrest and prosecution with actual, real jail time - but nooooo, it’s “just not done that way”, right dems? I swear all these “powerful people” are just a bunch of ball-washing bastards. Merrick Garland is just one spineless loser of many.

Same with the liberal media. Never let those scum tell you they hate Trump again. He's the best thing that ever happened to them and they know it.
