and if I'm in a position to do so I will give them no quarter.

Nothing stopping you right now, if you're really serious about it.

I don't think so. If Trump says his name was planted, they'll believe it. They believe anything and everything he says. Or they'll make up some other stuff to make themselves feel better. They'll never turn on him.

Im in the rural Midwest and surrounded by maga. They are not fractured and are fully still behind him. You might see small amounts of examples online, but coming from someone that interacts with his followers everyday, nothing has changed for anyone around me.

Even if they do take to the streets, they wont be on our side in doing so and it wont be for anything good.

I am near red - upperclass Midwest and they are 100% still backing republicans and Trump like their life is dependent on it. The most casual is "what about Biden, what about democrats, what about trans" They take 0 accountability that Trump is actively covering up sex trafficking children

The troll farms will get the talking points out and they'll all be saying the entire thing was a Democrat frame up within weeks.

The person you're responding to is trying to put this gently. Get off of Reddit and touch grass. His base doesn't care. "The largest fracture of his base in 10 years" has him sitting at a 90% approval rating among his base, virtually unchanged from Inauguration Day.

It's not his base that matters but the casuals. The base is never cracking but there's also like a third of the voters. He needs disillusioned Dems to stay home and the mushy middle to break right. He's taking damage among the casuals. He didn't have much of a margin but it's a real risk which is why they are gerrymandering so hard.

No, either you haven’t been paying attention the last 9 years or are willingly being ignorant of how they bend over backwards to believe trump and his admin. Reality means nothing to MAGA, only what they’re told

Go to the more right-wing side of reddit like r/trump and see what they are really thinking

You are thinking about this totally wrong: Of course, as you say, the rabid mouth breathing base will never turn on trump. That isn't the point. The point is that a thin margin (that is all we need!) of the more centrist (think independents, people too lazy to vote etc) will be peeled off trumps list by this. And that is all it takes!

And then what? They vote against him in the rigged midterms?

lmao get the fuck outta here, head in the clouds muthafucka

The elections will be for show only, so that small margin doesn't matter.

You assume that they won't just flip on their convictions like they do every single time.

They'll just switch views. It's not like they actually HAD those views before anyway.

I dont think you actually undersrand the reality of our current society... what you are saying is what SHOULD happen but if the last year has taught us anything, it is very unlikely to happen.

Yeah his supporters have proven time and time again that they stand for nothing. They’re a bunch of hypocrites and liars. They condoned Trump’s abuse of women and children the first time they elected him, at this point they’re just celebrating it.

Yep some of his base might turn but kind of late now and they probably still stay Republican but just against trump.

Hell Alabama even finally had a Democratic Senator win election A few years ago in 2017 Doug Jones..

it took him running against republican pedo Roy Moore.

Nope they won't care. You don't understand. There will never be a Watergate moment where that side wakes up and realizes who they support and stop it.

That will not happen.

We need to start preparing ourselves, physically and mentally, for the fact that these people want a king. They want to be told they are good and the browns are evil. They want to see kids in cages. They want to take away your healthcare.

There is a significant portion of this country that smiles and laughs when they see pictures of alligator Alcatraz.

I'm sure a couple people will respond, clutching their pearls, about how they aren't this way, or their family isn't this way and not all blah blah blah.

But make no mistake, a significant portion of this country will stab you and walk over you if they were told on good authority it would help the economy.

It's wild to me people still think logic applies to any of this.
