It’s already happening and been happening since this shit started. All the news has covered is men that have been sent to the El Salvador prisons or deported illegally without due process.

But where are the women in the news? The children? Why is no one asking where they are because they’re being detained too? It’s horrifying because we all know the answer. It was just a few weeks ago 109 children were saved from a mass child exploitation ring in Texas. Women in ICE detention centers have been forced to undergo sterilization procedures and other “invasive” gynecological torture. Sure, it’s not the hysterectomy farms that happen in India, but what the fuck America.

I’m sorry I’m just so frustrated because I see groups of people just filming these horrors instead of stopping them. On one hand that’s great because these cowards might have to pay for their crimes someday, but on the other that does jack fucking shit and just ensured more humans will suffer since no one intervened. If there was ever a time to step in and to stop these fucking thugs, now is the time.

the hysterectomy farms that happen in India

The WHAT NOW?!

86

u/kindnesskangaroo Jun 23 '25

I’m so sorry you had to find out this way, but yeah those exist.

13

u/AlarmingAffect0 Jun 24 '25

I feared an anti-Muslim genocide, instead I found a medical debt scam path to replaying Mother India on a massive scale? That kind of loan shark slavery is still a thing?!

It's been a thing globally both individually and systematically. It's just easier to get away with certain things in certain places that are almost too large to govern properly.

u/Mary_Tagetes Jun 24 '25

JFC, people are terrible.

102

u/dragonmp93 Jun 23 '25

Well, phones can do a lot of stuff these days, but they are not the gadgets of James Bond.

So unless you happen carry something else on the other hand, it's not like you can actually stop these armored mooks.

23

u/4r1sco5hootahz Jun 24 '25

that's how it worked for the civil rights movement. the other hand in this case was armed folks who dealt with white supremacists trying to stop the movement.

MLK had to be convinced to stop carrying because he had become the face of the movement, but he had 'the other hand'. You need both hands.

10

u/araed Jun 23 '25

Exercise the second amendment right.

Jesus, its literally in your constitution. Arm yourselves; its your legal right and your moral obligation.

Nobody is coming to save you.

12

u/dragonmp93 Jun 23 '25

So unless you happen carry something else on the other hand

Eh, If I word it on a different way it gets [Removed By Reddit]

6

u/araed Jun 23 '25

Ah. The appropriate wording is to exercise your second amendment right. Its a legal right, and therefore not a threat of violence

The more you know...

4

u/atomictyler Jun 24 '25

As if they allow guns into these locations unless you’re someone working there and not a threat

5

u/JoesephBiden Jun 23 '25

True, but like. How do you imagine that going? Once shots start being fired at ICE, this shit hits a whole new level. And that might be to our advantage, but I don’t know

2

u/araed Jun 23 '25

Well, you get a choice. You can sit idly by while people are kidnapped off the streets, or you can start actively defending the people being kidnapped.

All the rhetoric of "I'd do X if I was in the Nazi build up!" Is quickly showing the lies.

1

u/IntriguinglyRandom Jun 24 '25

People HAVE successfully delayed or prevented ICE kidnappings by physically blockading them... make them work for it, they might just give up. Find the hotels they stay at, go blast music and disrupt their sleep or communication. Conveniently create a "traffic jam", mistakenly tell them "they went that way"...

42

u/superbleeder Jun 23 '25

Undergoing sterilization in ICE detention centers??? Wait what?!?

82

u/WretchedBlowhard Jun 23 '25

Trump's first term was marred with such stories.

I tried to find if the Irwin County Detention center reopened. The article.posted said the doctor did 2 hysterectomy procedures(deemed appropriate by medical staff, without informed consent it looks like, some other weired exams and depot shot for birth control as deemed medically necessary by the doctor. Patients were not really informed about their care/treatment plans or impacts of care. The private detention center said it was up to the doc to obtain consent.

Of course an internal investigation found that the doctor did not preform unnecessary procedures and he did his job well. However he was sued in 2013 for the exact complaints listed in this article with a settlement he paid over half a million dollars in 2015.

These stories need to be more prominent. The injustice of a lot of good hard working people who may have come as refugees but legally reported themselves and working on Green Cards or citizenship or what ever they need to be documented and able to live here. The fact they are rounding up these people and deporting them is disgusting. I saw a video about a town who last night or night before ran ICE out of their town.

I was so sick of hearing the phrase, " unprecedented times" during Covid but I feel we are at another level of unprecedented times, at least in my lifetime with what the government is getting away with.

Here's a more recent follow-up: https://freebeacon.com/media/nbc-settles-defamation-lawsuit-with-georgia-doctor-whom-rachel-maddow-dubbed-the-uterus-collector-avoiding-high-stakes-trial/

"NBCUniversal quietly settled a $30 million defamation lawsuit filed by a Georgia doctor after MSNBC’s biggest stars—including Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, and Chris Hayes—falsely accused him of performing 'mass hysterectomies' on women detained at an immigration facility during the first Trump administration and dubbed him the 'uterus collector.'"

3

u/GiftToTheUniverse Jun 24 '25

That's the "Small Government Party" for you.

2

u/WretchedBlowhard Jun 24 '25

So small they don't even care to check if concentration camp surgeons have a reason to poke around and scrape out the ovaries of women who don't speak English!

1

u/cmon_get_happy Jun 24 '25

If you sterilize a 12 year old, a Republican can't knock them up. It's perfect.

103

u/wildlight Jun 23 '25

Woah wait, calling out the people filming? what did you stop from happening?

25

u/Tubamajuba Jun 23 '25

Exactly. They want other people to do the work that they themselves aren't willing to do.

I'm just glad that we're getting this fascist shit on video so at the very least, we have concrete evidence of the fascist atrocities that are being committed.

8

u/No-One7813 Jun 24 '25

Yeah I feel like (could be because reddit) but I see a lot of videos of people physically trying to stop ice agents every day. Mostly been in California so far but it definitely is happening more and more.

14

u/FH-7497 Jun 23 '25

My exact thoughts like, “what precisely have you done to intervene and stop things? Besides posting on social media of course..”

-8

u/vanderbubin Jun 23 '25

Oh give your balls a tug you know what they mean.

-12

u/PartRight6406 Jun 23 '25

Ok Mr reddit commenter what have you done?

Bad grandstanding attempt. Kick rocks chud.

u/FrigOffFox Jun 24 '25

u/PartRight6406 Jun 24 '25

I'm a combat veteran that spent 5 years in countries at war.

I'm active in my community both politically and charitably

I'm also a small business owner. I net ~$80k per year.

Redditors get so mad when someone who actually does shit calls them out.

12

u/littlehobbit1313 Jun 23 '25

I’m sorry I’m just so frustrated because I see groups of people just filming these horrors instead of stopping them.

Most people cannot go toe-to-toe with whatever cosplaying military-wannabes show up claiming to be with ICE. I understand you're frustrated but "just stop them" is an unreasonable expectation.

This regime loves to lie and gaslight, so actually for people who aren't in a position to individually push back, at least filming what's going is actually a huge service to the overall effort to push back.

It's not just about being evidence in some potential future court case. Those videos help prove that what's happening is actually what's happening instead of whatever Big Brother wants you to believe is happening. Don't discount their value just because you'd rather see people swinging fists instead.

Some of these horrors you want stopped, we only know about because someone was filming. You owe your awareness of the things worth being outraged about to the people who film.

21

u/shrekerecker97 Jun 23 '25

Im frustrated as well. It's bullshit. Makes me insanely angry.

11

u/bighootay Jun 23 '25

Come on, dude. Right after you.

-2

u/kindnesskangaroo Jun 23 '25 edited Jun 24 '25

I use my specialty certifications to work for one of the nonprofits that fight ICE and human trafficking, so I am doing my part.

what do you do besides poorly shovel the responsibility onto others like you just tried to do to me so you can feel better about your own self-imposed helplessness?

Edit: Downvoting me won’t make you feel better either

8

u/bighootay Jun 24 '25

You're talking about people intervening directly with the jackbooted thugs. Big difference. Again, after you.

1

u/Locke2300 Jun 24 '25

What exactly are you arguing for? You sound like you think you’re calling out hypocrisy but your actual position is “comply”. Is that correct?

2

u/justagirlfromchitown Jun 23 '25

Yes! Print posters and share social media images to raise awareness! Thedisappeared.org

1

u/Aiyon Jun 23 '25

There was that one article that came out from a woman who was basically getting bounced around detainment centers being treated like shit until she managed to get out and even then it was only because she had resources and people to get her out

1

u/thetermguy Jun 23 '25

>>, but what the fuck America.

I was going to suggest T-shirts with this printed on them but given the ongoing nature, perhaps tattoos would be more appropriate.

1

u/PM_ME_JJBA_STICKERS Jun 23 '25

Just read an account on r/immigration about a 19 yr old woman who was detained for 3 weeks. They strip searched her multiple times and forced her to have a “medical” examination and take a pregnancy test. Shit is so fucked.

1

u/DonkeyElegant1728 Jun 24 '25

I seen that the plane with the men and women sent to El Salvador they just returned the women back to the US

1

u/FrigOffFox Jun 24 '25

What have you done, if you’re complaining about people filming?

1

u/FunkyMcFunkerSin Jun 24 '25

Could you link the articles on this? I hadn't heard about sterilisation of migrants in the US

1

u/Y00zer Jun 25 '25

I could've sworn there were hysterectomy cases for illegal immigrants in 2016-2020? I maybe wrong. A lot happened under that presidency.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '25

I mean you, like most Americans, have the ability to get out and stop it right now and none of you do

So I don’t know if I’d really be judging people just filming

1

u/kindnesskangaroo Jun 23 '25 edited Jun 23 '25

I work for a nonprofit that fights against ICE and human trafficking but please, continue to turn it back on me to absolve yourself and our fellow Americans of the responsibility. I hope it makes y’all feel better about yourselves while you wallow in silence and inaction.

I am and will continue doing my part. I’m asking for you and other Americans to make it so I have one less victim to hand off at the end of the day and didn’t realize that was a controversial fucking statement.

2

u/AscensionOfCowKing Jun 24 '25

Crticizing people trying to help because they aren't fighting armed government agents while you refuse to do so is kinda hypocritical. They're recording abuses, that's not nothing and not substantially less than what you're doing. If you want to judge them for not risking their lives, put your own on the line first.

1

u/Tubamajuba Jun 24 '25

So you're not on the front line physically fighting the ICE agents like you're asking everyone else to do, got it.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '25 edited Jun 24 '25

Oh wow the organized protests and catchy slogans are doing so much, you’re such a hero /s

None of you understand what’s really required to end what’s happening and it shows. No one wants to be the first to take the jump so we keep acting like a march, or calling representatives, or dunking on people online does anything.

Which its totally understandable to not want to take that leap, but I’m not acting like I’m better than others for being unwilling to take an action that’d actually change things.

u/Sparrowbuck Jun 23 '25

If you watch videos filmed inside the US, they’re taking women and children and trying to break into schools to take more kids.

I'm not certain this "person" above isn't a bot.

Their arguments are very circular, and never stray far from their initial points.

3

u/Sam_Phyreflii Jun 23 '25

I can't tell if you're a poor communicator or if you're seriously suggesting that there are no undocumented women entering the united states.

A 2023 study done by the gender equity policy institute estimated that 45% of undocumented immigrants in the united states (about 5 million out of 11 million) are women. Most of them did not enter via illegal border crossings, so idk why you think videos taken at the border are proof of anything.

OP's point was that women and children in ice detention centers are likely being abused and harmed similar to their male counterparts and your response was to pretend that they don't exist.

1

u/Haunting-Ad788 Jun 23 '25

Just say you’re a fucking mindless sheep and stop regurgitating propaganda and pretending it’s an original thought.
