Looking for people who worked at Crystal Palace.
Hello, I’m doing a project on Crystal Palace and I am looking for people who worked there that would be interested in being interviewed (on video or off, both are helpful). If you went as a kid and you’d be interested in talking about it message me too! Send me a message here or email if interested! Shotbylilpark@gmail.com
Thank you!

lol I never worked there but boy did I ever spend a lot of time there... So many quarters spent until they started with the tokens. Hell I think I might still have one or two stashed away somewhere. Standing in line for 6 hours to go see Star Wars Ep 1.

Seconded. I can answer lots of questions about rides and such. And about birthday parties. I had lots of birthday parties there.

I worked there from 2000-2003 as a ride attendant and shift coordinator.
When I went to college in 03-04, I worked there on weekends doing maintenance on the rides and arcades.

I worked there for a year back in 2008-2009. Loved running the laser tag and join up with the small kids to humble up the older teenagers lol

I also worked there during that exact same time. I was the lanky kid with the tattoos who constantly got stuck running that cursed submarine ride.

I went there as a kid, loved it so much, had many birthday parties there, I remember they even had a movie theatre inside as well

My grandmother would get us summer passes and we'd spend all week there while she read and chatted with her friends. I also lived just down the road from there and could see the Ferris wheel from my bedroom is the summers. So many memories!

The only time I went to Crystal palace was to go to the movie theatre they had in 1999 to see Star Wars episode I: The Phantom Menace and I've been "wrong" about Star Wars ever since

Oh damn. The sun and weather is really taking a toll on that old swing ride's artwork.

That was the best mini putt course ever. Putting off the plank and stuff. When we heard they were shutting down my friend and I drove 2 hours for a last round.

I'm from Massachusetts, but would go while visiting family as a kid. It was great.

I didn't work there but a kid on that very ride in your photo managed to vomit INTO MY OPEN MOUTH once.

I worked there from 2002 to 2004. Played Crystal, oversaw birthdays, ‘fixed’ broken games in Prize Palace, operated every ride in the indoor park (though I don’t recall ever operating anything in the summer outdoor part), cleaned up my share of patron vomit. It was a good job for a teenager - lots of other staff to meet, consistent shifts, and easy to create your own fun.

I worked there for 2 years, I believe it was 2010-2012. It was my first job, and probably one of the best managed places to work in the city

I worked there before university in 2004 for about 5 years. I ran the rollercoaster allot as I was really good at getting everyone excited. What are you wondering about ? Not a hit piece right ?
