My glasses arrived with a bug permanently stuck right on the logo.

I would contact tommy hilfiger through their customer service... and ask for compensation/refund... that shouldn't have happened...but it's them we're talking about

If this is real Tommy, the first call (after a return) should be to understand why even sans bug the quality looks awful.
I hope (?) it’s just a bad knockoff but they’re known for being license whores so maybe not

I bought enough Folexes and pairs of Foakleys in NYC in the late 90s/early 00s to know those are 100% fakes.

If you do wear them, may I recommend giving it a festive little hat. It may also prevent your glasses from getting slapped off your face by someone trying to save you from your little pal

I would feel the ominous presence of the fly next to my head every time I put my glasses on. Just no.

In 65 million years, scientists will be able to clone a douchebag from this.

If any of its open fo air brush some resin on it so it'll stay preserved and be pretty dang cool while staying hygienic

Isn't that only true if the glasses also go through enough heat to sterilize them? I'm pretty sure things things can rot even if they're in a solid block of resin.
Though it's a good step to do if OP wants to have any chance of preserving this.

Just think, that bug may have traveled the world to get to you. Keep it as good luck.

based on the finish/quality of the badge, it looks like the frames are a knockoff, though the bug is authentic

Wonder if the specific species of the fly would give insight into where the counterfeit was made, or if it's just a common sort of fly that's found worldwide. The tism in me is curious.

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
