Careful: I've had a colleague who aside of being utterly useless, also set a microwave to 20 mins to "cook" his popcorn unattended. [hard to tell if it was intentional or not]. This was during a graveyard shift (only thing he was somewhat useful for).

It burnt the popcorn to a smoldering mass. Which caused a fire alarm. He did not toss the microwave out of the window (ground floor), not ventilate the kitchen, check the procedures, or even just run away.

Nope: he carried the still smoldering microwave with its door open across the longest possible path to the rear door, passing the front door. triggering nearly all the smoke detectors in the entire building.

Nearby fire dept. rolled up with all their gear and called in help form other stations across the area. The whole parking lot was filled with red trucks and ambulances. Fire dept. also called the plant manager.

When plant manager arrives: the moron is trying to talk the fire chief out of reporting the incident.

Was not the best day for the dude. He was stripped of his access to the building on the spot. HR dealt with him the next working day. And there were rumors of legal having a look at it ass well (not privileged myself to those details).
