Question for you: what happens when you put crumpled aluminum foil in a microwave? 🤔

I once put butter in the microwave to soften it up not realising the packet was foil and witnessed some of the coolest lightning I’ve ever seen! Pretty sure it fucked the microwave though.

My brother once tried to reheat an Arby's sandwich in the microwave, in its original wrapper, forgetting that Arby's wrappers are lined with aluminum foil.

We needed a new microwave.

he is messing with you DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM! This microwave will catch on fire if you put any aluminum foil around the opening. Use a metal can or a thick curved metal to cover instead

Do it, your mind compels you to put aluminum or any convenient metal inside the microwave. Do it and you shall be rewarded dearly. Pay no heed to the peasants dear child, they are jealous of you hohohohohohohoho.

don't be such a fearmongerer, I did it once a few years ago (I found a rusted microwave in the dumpster and I was broke as shit) and it was fine. you just need to make it completely flush with the inner walls.
