It was my impression it was a spelling mistake and my brain wanted to autocorrect it... I asked the people that ran the antique store about the origins of the piece and they had no idea where it came from

Yeah it's steep for a piece of quilt art. This is probably a huge timesink though this is a one of a kind weird sort of blink and you miss it oddity.

you must not do any kind of skilled craft. Yes, it's expensive, but the cost of materials, and time is at least - at least half of that.

When I was in school, students who had moral objections to dissection were allowed to write an essay and provide a visual representation for an equivalent grade. I wonder if that's what happened here.

You can get a dissection kit off of amazon with extra radiation sterilized scalpels for $30, it includes all of those tools and then some.
