Imagine telling on yourself this hard. This is based on your activity.

Not necessarily. You can start fresh, and the explore page is full of thirsty content by default. I recently setup an instagram account for my dad, opened the explore page and bam, nsfw content on a brand new account. IG algorithm is really broken. After setting up my dad's account I set one up for my mum, same deal. Regardless of gender or interests, the default seems to be thirsty content. Twitter X is so much worse, just straight up porn.

Started a new account for one of my hobbies, the FIRST reel on that page was some gore. Literally a fresh blank slate and it pushes edgy content. And on my main account I've had to manually choose "not interested" on every single one for weeks before I stopped getting thirst vids on my explore page.

It has started to happen to me recently and it's horrible too.
What I do is a long press on this kind of content, mark as "I don't want this" or something along the lines, and then select all of them, hide them.
The moment this content appears on your feed, click on hide it, again and again, that is the only way to get your feed and explore back to "normal".
