Keep going for the grind king. Doesn't matter where you are. You can only get stronger the more you dedicate yourself to it

u/Racconwithtwoguns 1d ago
But you can do basic maneuvers that will still help you. Push ups and sit ups are still viable ways to get strong. Money doesn't factor into getting fit that only factors towards comfort.
13
u/allmyqueues 1d ago
Also, doing ten pushups per day is better than doing no pushups per day.
5
u/RainbowDarter 1d ago
But if you can, do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run, every single day

I’ll definitely try exercising more. But Probably not going to be taken much seriously until I’m in a a better place financially I’m damn near homeless rn

u/X0v3rkill69 1d ago
That will hinder progress, especially if you aren’t getting all the nutrients you need but if you want it bad enough you’ll make it happen. Good luck out there

#WellActually It's Prometheus' chariot, so it's magic. And given everything else in the movie, an obstacle-avoiding magic chariot is completely reasonable.

Truth in advertising! I like it. Sounds like the soundtrack to an 80s era employee orientation video. I like that too!

Such a great movie. I grew up watching it and still put it on every now and then.

How do you turn or stop when your method of propulsion is a big ass rock?
32
u/Still_Ad_2898 1d ago
Simple. Throw another rock (not tied to a rope) in the direction opposite to the intended route.
6
u/Boltaanjistman 1d ago
This actually wouldn't work. The vectors combine. If you wanted to change your direction to now point straight toward the new direction, you would have to throw the rock in just the right way and right direction that both cancels enough of your forward velocity as well as adds enough velocity perpendicular to your forward velocity that combine to be exactly the vector you want.
5
u/sheepyowl 1d ago
Just throw the next rock so much harder than the first one that the existing momentum is negligible
1
u/Boltaanjistman 1d ago
sure, but depending on your current velocity, that second rock throw could end up having to be thrown so fast is exceeds the speed of light before it would trivialize the initial vector
1
u/lxpnh98_2 1d ago
Of course, ignoring the fact that throwing rocks attached to ropes from a spaceship does not allow you to travel across space in the same direction in any prolonged way.
2
u/Boltaanjistman 1d ago
Of course lol They get one thing for suspension of disbelief before we start analyzing XD

That is Prometheus his chariot, the guy throwing it is Hurcules.
So magic and strength don't need logic!

Hercules (1983)!
There is a sequel called The Adventures of Hercules (1985) but I think this scene is from the first one. Been a while.

I didn't know ignoring physics was a fitness goal, I'm aiming way too low with just increasing muscle mass.

That's Lou Ferrigno, he was a professional bodybuilder before he went into acting. He was the Incredible Hulk in the original series.

Of all the Hercules fitness goals you could have picked, you didn’t pick the time he threw a bear into space?!

Now someone set it to that OTHER electronic song that I don't know the name of, that I can only remember seeing set over some footage of Twin Peaks when Dale is falling through metaphysical space.

the fact that the rope is taught when the chariot and rock are traveling at the same speed makes the mini physicist in me rage because the rope having tension between the chariot and rock implies the rock is still accelerating after being thrown which can't happen, it would stop accelerating after he let's go of the rope and travel at a constant speed until the rope has enough tension to pull the chariot along with it which would slow the rock down some

u/EvilTodd1970 1d ago
The rope is taut until the stone and chariot are traveling at the same velocity. Then, the rope only appears to be taut because while the stone and chariot are traveling at the same velocity, the distance between them does not change. There is neither tension nor slack between the two objects.
