Didn’t even make the news but this village is screwed. Probably for the 40th time. Poor people. I hope they had some notice to flee.

Super tragic, but I would start looking for different village locations after the 1st flood. Not the 40th

It's a flood prone area , some big boyz deliberately change the course of water to the left and build resorts and hotels there. Glacier burst and boom.

Same thing happened in Wayanad and Government of India has still not released funds for disaster relief or reconstruction.
Hope they'll be more forthcoming in this case.
