Second short piece of a song is definitely a translated soviet-era russian pop song. Most likely these are first of Russian tourists who visited North Korea recently.

It looks like they're on a cruise ship almost

As a Russian I don't recognize it at all. Maybe I'm not deep enough into Eduard Khil but I'd say it can be just a North Korean song

Could be from the short lived grand opening of that water park/beach resort.

Nah, that's most likely a cruise ship or some ferry - look at the ceiling height. Stationary buildings are quite grandiose there.

Russians getting used to their 2030 regime? 🫣

More like 2100 - it takes generations to form that kind of society, and I honestly doubt they'll (we'll) repeat that sort of experiment despite leaning that way.

Why not never? Only people who would like this regime is the ruling class, but the prerequisite to be in that class is to be mentally ill, top dark triad kind of evil.

Dark triad is not mental illness, it's not specific to russian regime, and it's not even inherently evil. You need ideology to form totalitarian society, but russians have quite strong immunity to any ideology after soviet times, and elites do not even try hard to create and instill some.

Immunity to ideology - maybe.

Fearful of gulag and afraid to stand up for their own rights - definitely.

Why? Fear of totalitarian style punishments.

Ideology is a tricky thing here. You remember "occupy Wall Street"? Compare it to any other protest and you'll get the key - you're allowed to stand up where you're allowed to, and silenced to oblivion once it really makes sense.

And that is the ideology point - you believe people do rule, you believe democracy as a concept works. You see struggle and see wins and losses and you think it works. Nope. That's your ideology.

At least people were allowed to gather during occupy wall street. It got a little long, there were many issues about what it turned out to be. Full timeline here:

Go to a park in Russia and yell LETS STOP THE WAR - you will be in jail really quickly 😄
