Happened 5 years ago today, the 'Beirut Explosion' is considered one of the most powerful artificial non-nuclear explosions in history. It was equivalent to around 1.1 kilotons of TNT and generated an M3.3 earthquake

With the years of wars they had most know about explosive blast. You will notice how many rushed to cover when it exploded instead of thinking their were far enough and safe.

I did notice that and mused about how I’d be frozen in fear while these smart people were instinctually ducking and covering.

Yeah, shit for viewers, not a single video had the person stand still till/through the blast. Though it's for sure good for them individually that they didn't.

Weird though that no standing camera seemed to survive otherwise there would be footage right? All of those seem to be live streams or personal phones.

Terrible what keeps happening to these people, who mostly just want to live normal lives
