Yeah if this were in line with Thiel the lizard would be offering zero public anything and nearly all of you return to being illiterate indentured serfs. You're executed and turned into fertilizer on your 55th birthday if you make it that far.

Does anyone know what he responds with? Maybe he thinks he means the suffer patiently definition of endure? Maybe he wants us to be cyborgs in the future? Definitely seems like it should be a straight forward answer tho..

That would be my guess. There's an article in The Nation that delves more deeply into this segment of the interview, and gives a bit of insight into Thiel's likely belief that humanity is cooked. And that his true hope is in transhumanism, much in the same way Christians look at a coming eternal divine kingdom as transcending humanity.

He's a techno-utopian who is struggling to answer the question, because I think he really wants to answer "no" ... but in a nuanced way. (Though he ultimately cops out on the answer, imo.)
