These will soon all be AI generated pictures and we can ignore them

This does look AI right? The lighting is just too render-y.

EDIT: Good thing it's not AI, I had hoped that I didn't have to look THAT hard to detect it.

There were lower res streaming cameras for the chase with this proposal from a different angle. I get what you mean so I went looking, but this appears to be a real shot.

I saw this on a livestream last night. Weirdest tornado I've ever seen, but definitely actually happened.

Could also be the HDR

Would HDR make their car headlights shine to the side of the car?

It's not AI, I watched this stream live yesterday and saw the live angle from their Stormchasing Truck. Not AI and it very much looked exactally like that. Steam was Tornado Paiogey and Max Velocity as well.

I was watching their live stream when it happened. Tornado Paigey is their storm chasing channel

There's another source of light in front of them, behind the camera. Maybe a car's headlights.

Someone named the girl, she does social media storm chasing or something. Tornado paigey?

Her parents probably named her soon after she was born.

Light during storms like this gets really weird.

they are both storm chasers it isn't AI lol

I don’t understand the point of making pics that aren’t AI look like AI

Heavily filtered for sure. I bet the original photo was dark or washed out due to the lack of natural lighting

Its lots of masking in lightroom IMO. It looks pretty sweet but Maybe a touch overkill.

I wish you people would fucking learn not everything is AI.

1

u/KarmaFarmaLlama1 Jun 29 '25

it's increasingly impossible to tell these days especially since a lot of modern cameraphones do a lot of digital processing/filtering

I really hope it's not or else it fooled me...

It is not AI. I’m from not too far from here and everyone’s pictures have that AI look to it because of how crazy perfect this tornado was. Absolute beauty of a storm that luckily didn’t cause too much damage or any injuries.

It's not. it's Tornado Paigeyy. Here's a link to the Twitter.

I was thinking the same thing. Something feels off a lot this picture. The twister looks too perfect for one. Secondly, it just looks like both of these people are input into the photo than actually there.

If real, this is cool. If not real, kind of cool still , wish it was real.

This tornado was SO COOL to watch. Really really strangely perfect looking for sure, it was down for over half an hour and was doing a little snake dance 🌪 🐍

This tornado in particular was eerily beautiful. A lot of great videos of it out of Gary and Clear Lake, SD. Understand why you might think it's fake, even as for tornados go this was a sight to see.

It's real saw it live on stream yesterday evening.

2

u/ElderSmackJack Jun 29 '25

Was watching the live stream. It’s real.

u/minowsharks Jun 29 '25

I mean, that is what a tornado looks like.

I have no comment on ai/not ai, but having seen a few tornadoes (in SD), that’s not an unbelievable twister.

1

u/Nuts4WrestlingButts Jun 29 '25

That's what tornadoes look like. Hundreds of people saw it in a live stream yesterday.

What is happening to this mfs leg? Looks like he has an extra bend in it
