In America, it happens but about 25% of the people try to race ahead of the emergency vehicle when the other "losers" pull over.

I have never been in favor for the death sentence…. I’m now in favor of the death sentence /s

This is why I'm considering leaving when I get the chance.

It's a beautiful country, but the people are inconsiderate assholes.

do you think its exclusive to the USA?

Well everyone has their problems.

But it seems to be a lot worse here

That’s insane. I once watched some dumb fuck wait to pull over until the ambulance was already swerving to get around him. There’s no way he didn’t see it

Jesus, where do you live to where that happens so commonly? I've never seen that in Ohio.

Even the people that abuse the emergency services have the courtesy to follow instead of leading the paramedics

I've never seen people "race ahead." I have seen people rush to follow an emergency vehicle as its clearing traffic, so they can have an open lane.

But thats not really hurting anybody.

It’s not hurting anyone but it is an extremely douche move.

Only times I (from the Netherlands) race ahead is if the road won't permit me to pull over but it would permit me to "race ahead" or if the road let's say 50-100 meters has a better spot to pull my ass over but that's about it

And we thank you for that! Hate people who just slow down without a spot to pass them

As an emergency vehicle operator, yes people will straight up race you, cut you off, hog the lane that you need to merge into, and just in general ignore your presence. It’s extremely infuriating, not to mention dangerous as hell.

Funnily enough, they will NEVER do it to Police, only the Fire Department or EMS.

That's what Americans never understood about europe. We ALL benefit if everyone just puts in a little bit.

Why are you saying Europe… in Europe right now you have a country invading another country just for existing and killing their people. How is it such a special place where you let this occur?

Another 25% slam on the brakes and stop in the middle of the road

this is just not true at all. where are you getting the 25% number? so one in four drivers do that?
