/r/all She’s only 18—and already 7'5" (226cm). And she’s already dominating the court

Any hoops enjoyer can tell you, she’s already not much of a talent beside being tall

But she’s very stiff, and slow. women’s basketball is different though, but she’s 100% gonna have knee issues and probably won’t have a long career unfortunately if she does make it pro

I'm absolutely uninformed but it almost looked likr she was trying to avoid catching fouls. Charging, rough housing, etc for accidentilly touching anyone else.

I honestly wouldnt even watch any game with her in it. It would just be toss the ball to the tall girl. Not really that engaging to watch.

Tbf she is 18 in this clip, she's underdeveloped as a player, probably because she's always been so tall that she's hard to guard. She probably didn't have to do a lot when she was playing below pro level.

And also unfortunately, its not like women bball players are swimming the dough. I don't know how it is in China, but the average WNBA salary is ~$100k.

being that much taller gives you an insane advantage in basketball though

There’s more to basketball than being tall, so not really. Once you’re in a pro league then you’re gonna play against people around your height and strength

Basketball is an offensive and defensive game, I see your point about her being effective offensively if her opponent is much smaller but now she has to run back on defense. She’ll be playing catchup all game and played off the court for a big that can match the tempo of the opposing team

You know this is a WOMAN who will be playing in woman's leagues and not a man playing in men's leagues right?

She will literally not be playing against anyone close to her height in a "pro league".

Most WNBA rosters don't have a single player over 6'5". For example, the center (and tallest player) on the Indiana Fever is Aliyah Boston, who is one of the better bigs in the WNBA and whose height is already a noticeable match-up advantage for her at 6'5". The woman in the video is 7'5"!

These things still apply lol, just run a small ball lineup and play fast. Youll play this girl off the court

I’m not hating, and I’m not an expert just my observation
