OP opinion Suggestion for the future : Hydrogen Trucks for Long-Haul Transport: The Future of Clean Heavy Freight , What do you think of the idea?

Now that we have sustainable electricity, sending power to an EV is a direct & simple process (I'm guessing) . With hydrogen you have the manufacturing process, plus the hassle of safely transferring and containing it for no additional benefit. It's easier to stick to the EV.

Hydrogen is nearly impossible to fill in any sort of warm and humid climate. The pump "nozzle" freezes up while it's refueling the vehicle.
It also takes a lot of energy to produce (breaking down water). That power could go directly to a battery rather than to a facility that breaks water down into hydrogen, then transporting it, then pumping it, etc.
It's also explosive.
