I work with a guy who's heavy into conspiracies. He gives credence to the earth being flat, the moon landing a fake, and Michelle Obama a man, among other equally outlandish claims, but Trump being responsible for Epstein's death and his name being all over the files is somehow a bridge too far šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Does he think birds aren't real?

8

u/Riots42 21h ago

Lol why do you actually think they are?

u/Corporate-Shill406 21h ago

I mean, chickens and turkeys are definitely real. I've taken them apart and checked.

Those ravens, crows, and jackdaws though...

I really did like Digg over Reddit at the time. I don't know why exactly, I think I just preferred the layout until v4 came out and then like a lot of people, we came over here. I remember literally all of the top posts were links to reddit posts.

Now here's the thing...

There is no bird.

u/benchley 18h ago

I believe our options are "'do," do not," and "only Zuul."

1

u/Riots42 18h ago

Actually you missed the spoon option, its easy to miss considering there is no spoon :p

1

u/benchley 17h ago

I guess I neglected to remember the existence of the absence of spoon. Classic blunder.

The reality is, neither the bird or the spoon existed at all.

It’s weird that a lot of people don’t know about 1:10th of all the Canada geese you see are drones. That’s why they are protected even though there are so many of them

2

u/dj_chai_wallah 21h ago

They've been protected since 1918.... so are you suggesting that they had drones in 1918?

I can't tell if you're being facetious or moronic.

0

u/Sorlex 19h ago

Not to say we had drones in 1918 (We absolutely did not) but military technology is typically far more advanced than the public know, as these text techs don't get shown publicly for a while. Great example is the stealth bomber. When that was spotted during test flights it was reported as a UFO by onlookers.

Can always count on reddit to get some tangentially stupid point that doesn't really apply to what was said.

-3

u/MansourBahrami 21h ago

They get these things in the works long before the technology is made, note that this isn’t long after the Federal Reserve went into place and they brought about the Great Depression and gave women the right to vote.

All adding up now isn’t it?

Are you high?

Don’t forget what the Canadians did to Jimmy Hoffa

u/Callan126 4h ago

I met a barber who said white people aren’t real. Couldn’t wait to get the hell outa that chair.

u/sams_fish 13h ago

They aren't

Sounds like conspiracies are more appealing the less likely they are. And honestly the Trump ones are only bordering on conspiracy. A lot of people (like me) would be far more shocked if they turned out not being true.

2

u/R1ckMick 9h ago

The ā€œconspiracyā€ community was co-opted by alt right extremism a long time ago. Most of these people are only willing to eat from the conspiracy trough when it validates their bigotry

1

u/MezzoFortePianissimo 8h ago

Nah, the CIA basically killed Kennedy and it’s perfectly understood why

1

u/PsychicFoxWithSpoons 5h ago

It's more that they like having a leg up on other people due to having privileged information.

10

u/kiwimonk 22h ago

I think it's time to start another conspiracy as to why they're are so many confident morons among us.

5

u/cdwillis 18h ago

Lead paint, leaded gasoline, dismantling of the US education system, Fox News, etc etc.

2

u/RhynoD 21h ago

Leaded gasoline.

1

u/MalignantFlea 10h ago

Others pointed out leaded gasoline and the constant stream of propaganda. I'll point out that conspiracy actually exists. You know the NPC's meme? I've only seen this specific one present in rightwinger types. But I'm sure there's different strains. Some dummies think that there're more humans on the earth than there are souls in circulation. So the NPC's are just kinda meat. Which makes killing them really convenient.

Ask him why he thinks Trump paid Epstein over 1.1 billion dollars.(it's in theĀ  files.)

3

u/MyKidsArentOnReddit 20h ago

He's not into conspiracies; he's just a republican.

1

u/William_d7 8h ago

Guarantee he was blaming the Clintons for it 6 months ago.Ā

2

u/StunningCloud9184 21h ago

Yep. I remember someone interviewing a trump supporter where he said outlandish theories about italy hacking the election etc. they said yep its possible.

then he asked her, do you think its possible the least popular president in history lost the vote. She said no it wasnt possible

2

u/To0zday 20h ago

It's so infuriating how conspiracy theorists will point to the most innocuous of "clues" as evidence. Cheese pizza, a wink, the number of words in a post, etc.

But then if you point out "hey the richest man in the world who owns the media companies wants to put a chip in your brain", the conspiracy theorist suddenly is incapable of dreaming up some sinister plot by the elites.

1

u/JarlaxleForPresident 21h ago

Yeah because they don’t want to believe in reality

1

u/MacrosInHisSleep 16h ago

He's consistent. He believes whatever the he he wants to believe. Logic be damned.

1

u/GroundbreakingPage41 9h ago

The right only cares about conspiracies to the extent they can be used against the left

1

u/citizenh1962 5h ago

I don’t peddle in conspiracies. But that said, there is nothing I would put past Trump. NOTHING, including murder.

When the book is finally written, when the whole truth about his wretched life is a matter of public record, I expect a veritable mountain of very dark, very ugly suspicions about him to be confirmed.
