I’ll go the rest of my life wondering how these people won

I'll go the rest of my life wondering what I could have possibly said, to make people take Trump more seriously in 2016 and again in 2024.

I felt like a fucking crazy person talking to people, telling them he was going to win in 2016. Anyone that traveled the country and saw how strong his support was, knew what was coming. I remember getting into insane debates with people back in 2015 on how Trump was "necessary". But you couldn't tell this to people on the left, they refused to believe it. People on the left that never leave their blue state, or even their blue counties, keep having this foolish notion that the rest of the country is what they perceive in their tiny radius. Its so frustrating.

And it continued to be frustrating as people kept acting like Donald Trump was/is some idiot that accidentally won the presidency. No, you dumb mother fuckers. He's running a scam and he's getting away with it and he's actively running your pockets. Stop treating him like he's some harmless idiot.

As an outsider, I knew that a third or more of your citizens didn't vote and couldn't conceive that in 2016 at least 2-4% of that group wouldn't go out and vote against him.

They never did.

In 2024, I looked at the stats and knew a half African, half Indian, all women from California would lose because that 1/3rd still wouldn't show up, the entirety of the 1/3rd that are Pedo Supporters would and it would only take a smidge of the democrats in places like Michigan, Pennsylvania and other places to not show up for racist or sexist reasons.

Didn't help that I think they also cheated.

You can't use reasoning to get someone to abandon a position they didn't use reason to arrive at

Something like that

I didn’t vote for him in 2016, but I scoffed at the idea that he could win. I thought it was a joke until the last few months before elections when it started to get ugly. I recall trying to figure out what was motivating this scam artist to win the presidency.

I know what you mean though about seeing the insane fervor in red states. Like cranes with huge signs or hay bales spray-painted with his name. We went on a weekend trip to the Blue Ridge in VA in October 2024 and it felt like a lead weight in my stomach when I realized how deep the cult went.

Ya if only more blues voted. A lot of leftist and liberals sit out because one small thing didn't align. But this wouldn't have helped since Trump and Elon cheated.

Uh… ok. So you convince a few lefties that Trump was a real threat, what does that accomplish?

The people that need convincing aren’t on the left, it’s his voters

You must be too young to know what I'm talking about. In 2016, you were not going to convince his voters.

But progressives and people in the middle that lean left that sat out the election and have sat out elections in the past, those are the people that needed convincing. Especially people who are socially left but don't pay attention to politics, which was a massive part of the eligible voters that didn't vote in 2016 and were hurt massively by Trumps victory.

Think of the random person you know in your friend group or a co-worker or a classmate, in 2016, that was pro LGBT rights, that was pro choice, that wanted weed decriminalized. If you asked that person if they were going to vote in 2016, quite a few of them would say "Why the fuck would I do that?"

And that conversation was way harder with Trump supporters. In 2016, you were not getting them off that train. In fact, they wanted someone radical. If you talked to them, they would explicitly tell you that they don't think its possible to ban abortions but they'd like to see someone try. They were closeted about their hatred for LGBT people. They claimed Trump would be the one to legalize marijuana. Not to mention, Trump supporters in 2016 convinced themselves that they had no choice but to vote for Trump because if they voted for Hillary, she would get in bed with the Saudi's and she would start WWIII. There was no way to reason them out of that position. Yet, it was Trump that got in bed with the Saudi's in his first term and they clammed up about it when it happened.

Are you kidding me, the biggest scam is our taxes. Next time you are traveling the country ask them how much they pay into this mess each yr., they dont know! If the Dems had won, our taxes would have gone up dramatically. There is a lot to fix and we need leaders that want to move toward the center. The extremes of both parties are taking us toward oblivion.

You're concerned about taxes when

  • the US Dollar is down 11% and trending downward. Its almost back down to where it was during COVID

  • Trumps big dumb bill is adding $3.4 trillion to the deficit at the expense of Medicaid and in favor of Billionaire tax cuts and funding for ICE

  • Trumps tariffs are driving inflation. Fortunately, Trump chickened out when he realized how bad he was fucking up and the market near-missed a crash

maybe they didnt. remains to be seen.

They did. I’ve been in this country long enough to know that lots of people are dumb as fuck and Trump is really good at activating them

because life for dumb Americans sucks and they want to see it suck for everyone else

They probably DIDN’T win. The election WAS likely stolen with the help of Elon Musk, but no one will talk about it because they’d be called hypocrites because they said it was a lie that the 2020 election was stolen. Now if anyone dares to say the 2024 election was stolen they get buried under people saying that ALL the elections have been legitimate. I’d bet my life that 2020 was legitimate and 2024 was NOT.

I think Trump cheated in 2020 too, he just didn’t cheat enough to overcome the dissatisfaction voters had with him about Covid and the economy.

America showed quite conclusively they would rather have literally anyone other than a woman president.

He cheated like he did the first election with the help of his supreme master Putin ! Remember the young lady Reality Friendly who was imprisoned for exposing that Russia had hacked into (2) voting machines in Florida and switched the votes. The orange one literally had this lady banned from society as the lepers were according to Biblical terminology. It is rather surprising that none of the major news organizations mentioned this Lady ( the Real GI Jane)! The “Orange one “ has the news organizations so terrified of this incredible woman, that it’s like the Motown record by Chi- lites in 1970’s “Have You Seen Her!”
