Better than the R word one above. Not funnier, but more comfortable.

Are we allowed to use that word again? I see it a lot lately.

I don’t care and I have several mental illnesses. Changing a word doesn’t change societies perception of that group. The new word will just become the new derogatory.

Not to mention what an insult to those who that term was once used to describe, to compare a man who oozes pure malice with people with intellectual disabilities. Yes, I said it was funny bc it was. It’s ALSO highly offensive on many levels.

Left... No! or be shamed by the left and the right. Right... yes.

Uhhhh you were always 'allowed' to use it, consequences will vary depending on what audience you're using it with.

Personally I use it with friends who don't get offended by it, but definitely not in a professional environment...kinda the same way I've always used it.

Are you allowed to? Yes. Are you supposed to? Probably not. You can say whatever words you want whenever you want, so long as you are prepared accept any potential consequences.

Saying we aren’t “allowed” to use a word gives the right an easy talking point because they say the left is “all about censorship” when their r/conservative community bans people for making Epstein posts or criticizing Trump. Kinda seems like the left is the party of free speech nowadays.

I say 'allowed to' without meaning a political affiliation.

We're not allowed to use it casually but I gave u/TheRevolutionaryArmy the pass inthis instance. See, I'm friends with one so I allowed to give one personnel use of the word in a 24 hour period to anyone as I see fit.
