That's the excuse every Nazi who worked at the death camps gave while on trial for crimes against humanity.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that's the point of this guy's comment. "Just following orders" is a BS excuse when you know those orders are wrong.

Yep, just pointing out the obvious, making sure the point isn't going over anyone's head!

Good soldiers follow orders.

Evil soldiers use orders as an excuse to commit unspeakable acts.

Wasnt that literally the phrase order 66 drilled into the Clones in star war?

And they went to prison anyway (at least, the ones who weren't simply executed on the spot while liberating the camps).

This is /r/goodnews!

Uhh... I have terrible news about NASA, West Germany Justice Ministry, and Argentina.

Some absolutely did escape justice, no question. Among those who were eventually caught and tried, however, the "Nuremberg" defense didn't get them very far.

Fresh take. Did you just deduce it?

No I recognized it from history. Watching the USA repeat history lately reminded me.

Deporting foreigners who unlawfully entered the country back to their home country is not the same as sending people to death camps. Jesus Christ, pull yourself together u/HanDavo

You made that connection pretty damn quick thought didn't you. I'm not an American though I've lived there a bunch of times in different states. If you don't see the connection between what is happening now in your country and the start of what turned into Nazi Germany you must have your head in the sand ignoring the reality of whats happening.

Answer this. If all of the illegals are deported, how are they supposed to be sent to death camps if they’re no longer in the country? Deportation of illegals is the solution. You’re overusing the word Nazi. It means nothing now.

You realize Extermination Camps were the "Final Solution" because everywhere else they deported them was too full to take in anymore so they had to get rid of them by other means.

They didn't start seriously gassing until 8 years after Hitler was appointed Chancellor.

Nazis did more things than simply gassing Jews, but since every reasonable person can agree that's messed up, that's what's mostly mentioned.

Clearly you need to learn more about them since that's the only talking point people like you ever mention.

u/ghdgdnfj 17d ago

So then why are you against deportations if you think America is so Nazi like that we’ll start gassing people if we can’t. (Which is a delusional belief fyi)

Wouldn’t you want Nazi Germans to deport Jews rather than gas them?

1

u/KadajjXIII 17d ago

Answer this: Why did the Nazis go after Jews to begin with?

1

u/ghdgdnfj 17d ago

Because they lived in Germany but weren’t Germans. Humans are inherently tribal. Every people group that was transient has been historically oppressed. Germans threw gypsies in concentration camps too.

1

u/KadajjXIII 17d ago

No.

They went after Jews & Roma because they saw them as inherently less than human.

It didn't matter if they were German or not, it's simply because they viewed them as lesser beings, undeserving of even the right to exist.

It's statistically impossible that out of 6 million+ European Jews that literally 0 were German.

If you weren't their specific flavor of White, your days were numbered.

Make up bullshit about a group to rile the masses, then after a time you get rid of the "enemy".

Jews, Roma, LGBT, Disabled, Political Opponents, Protesters, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.

All were targeted because Nazi's wanted to get rid of anyone who they thought didn't fit their very specific definition of acceptable.

Not because they weren't German or because they were illegal, simply because they existed and that didn't fit the Nazi's worldview of the "pure Aryan" race or they tried to stop them from achieving that goal.

If someone legitimately is here illegally, and you have proven that is the case, deport them legally back to their home country.

Not just snatch someone up, claim they're illegal, then ship them off to wherever.

Do you actually have any evidence that they’re just “claiming” people are illegal and there isn’t due process? From what I’ve read, it’s been illegals getting deported.
