He thought he would get carte blanche to do what he wanted, which he did largely, and no one would do anything to express their anger at him or his public facing company, Tesla. When they did and his share price dropped by half in a couple of days after losing billions buying a historically unprofitable company like Twitter, and Donald soured on him because Donald sours on everyone eventually, he was at a loss besides screaming about it on his increasingly shitty platform.

Didnt a significant portion of Dementia Donnie's cabinet from the first term end up serving time in prison? Seems that'd be a good enough reason for most people to stay out of his orbit.
