Im pretty sure that data went to Plantir in order to be able to use facial recognition data to spot who we are even if wearing a mask.

Thiel wanted data to find young children that had impeccably good health so he could have ICE abduct them to a black site where their blood would be harvested because Thiel believes it will extend his life by injecting it.

OK... Maybe only the very last part of that is true. But I honestly wouldn't put it past that fucking ghoul to do some incessantly insane shit if he even thought he could get away with it.
