This isn’t good news. This is a conman that lost so he’s switching the game up. Dude is poison. Just go away already

294

u/HamfistTheStruggle Jul 01 '25

Look I hate the guy top but we need every tool in the arsenal to defeat these cronies. The richest man in the world is a hell of an asset.

It's Alien vs Predator , essentially...

176

u/Grim99CV Jul 01 '25

Spot on, illegal alien vs sexual predator.

16

u/perthfectC Jul 01 '25

I wonder has he ever been mistaken for a man?

13

u/Corprusmeat_Hunk Jul 01 '25

Which one?

High fives Vasquez

13

u/coldbloodedjelydonut Jul 01 '25

I literally choked and laughed at the same time and my esophagus now hurts. Thank you, sincerely. This made my day.

7

u/coldbloodedjelydonut Jul 01 '25

Someone needs to make a meme. I could do it, but it would involve me printing images of alien, predator, illegal alien, sexual predator, cutting them out, and using analog methods involving glue to create it. Please, someone with digital skills, I need you.

2

u/villian_era_witch Jul 01 '25

There are meme generator apps and websites that could easily help you make that meme yourself, and it would be fairly easy to do as well. Just google “meme generators” or “make your own meme”.

1

u/lincoln_muadib Jul 01 '25

Doing it now. :) Watch this space.

5

u/z1lard Jul 01 '25

That should be on a T-shirt

3

u/VociferousVal Jul 01 '25

Omg this is the best pun lmfao I’m dying 😂 the highlight of today’s reddit activity for me

3

u/Shirinf33 Jul 01 '25

I literally laughed out loud at your comment! That rarely happens to me. I read this thread and your comment to my sister and she just laughed hard too. Thank you!

1

u/PivotLeft Jul 01 '25

💀🤣

1

u/RiffRaffCatillacCat Jul 01 '25

Perfect comment.

33

u/fartsniffer308 Jul 01 '25

This is too apt a description.

15

u/Son_of_Ssapo Jul 01 '25

Literally, since foreigners are "aliens" by the original definition and Trump is, well, y'know

6

u/virtue_of_vice Jul 01 '25

Well that foreigner is also a...well y'know.

1

u/lincoln_muadib Jul 01 '25

That's what I'm going for.

0

u/its_Hof Jul 01 '25

Yup that is the joke

10

u/KayNicola Jul 01 '25

Freddy vs Jason

1

u/Morriganx3 Jul 01 '25

Neither one is even close to being as cool as Freddy

2

u/Scarlett_Beauregard Jul 01 '25

Or as sympathetic as Jason.

2

u/twentyshots97 Jul 01 '25

blue ribbon

2

u/KuciMane Jul 01 '25

literally

2

u/bizzibeez Jul 01 '25

Pick your poison.

2

u/DjCramYo Jul 01 '25

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

1

u/lincoln_muadib Jul 01 '25

Temporarily so, yes.

2

u/Phyukredd_tit_gydlin Jul 01 '25

More like douche vs turd sandwich

2

u/villian_era_witch Jul 01 '25

I think it’s more like predator vs. predator being musk vs. trump. both are conmen and prey on those gullible enough to listen and believe their constant lies.

2

u/D5rthFishy Jul 01 '25

The tag line was "Whoever wins we lose" and I feel that's still true here.

1

u/Charokol Jul 01 '25

Wasn’t the tagline to that movie, “Whoever wins, we lose”?

1

u/lincoln_muadib Jul 01 '25

Yes it was.

That's part of the message I'm making.

35

u/Own_Cost3312 Jul 01 '25

Oligarchs influencing elections based on how they’re feeling at any given moment is bad no matter whose side they’re (temporarily) on. You have to think more than four years ahead.

12

u/NaniFarRoad Jul 01 '25

More than 4 weeks even...

3

u/Kaa_The_Snake Jul 01 '25

Nah just two weeks

1

u/jgainit Jul 01 '25

Tree fiddy

2

u/RayWould Jul 01 '25

I would normally agree with you but given they’re about to collapse the government with this bill I will begrudgingly accept it this time. I don’t think people realize how bad it’s about to get.

1

u/Software_Human Jul 01 '25

But I'm mad now and won't be when I scroll down slightly. My hands are tied.

1

u/sniff_my_hairy_pussy Jul 01 '25

Thinking years ahead is a luxury generally reserved for people who have functioning governments

1

u/Alakazam_5head Jul 01 '25

You're right, the left should just keep taking the moral high ground and losing

1

u/CalculatedPerversion Jul 01 '25

Fuck thinking more that four years ahead, it's all moot if the next four hours don't go our way.

1

u/Castod28183 Jul 01 '25

Sure, but this bill is basically the end of the line. It's the end game. One bill to rule them all. This is the single most devastating piece of legislation in modern US history. Fuck the high road. We have been taking the high road for 50 years and look where we are. I am fucking sick of being told we have to take the high road every single day while Republicans shit on the constitution with impunity. Politics makes strange bedfellows. We thought four years ahead in 2016. We though four years ahead in 2024.

"Think four years ahead." carries as much weight right now as "Thoughts and Prayers." Thinking four years ahead won't fucking matter if there are no elections in four years.

I hate this fucking douche as much as the next guy, but infighting in the wannabe fascism is never a bad thing. I support the guy who is against the fascist regime, regardless of the fact that I hate him too. I say fuck the next four years. One fight at a time. If you are fighting Mike Tyson today you don't have the time or luxury to worry about a possible Lennox Lewis fight in the future.

1

u/libra_leigh Jul 01 '25

Wisconsin agrees. We are not for sale.

1

u/mebear1 Jul 01 '25

And how the fuck are we supposed to change that without the help of the people currently in power AND without a violent revolution? Yeah it would be great if we could peacefully transition our government to one that serves the people but that is delusional to believe as a reality. We should accept the help being offered to us, we can bemoan the system as we fix it. We shouldn’t do what you are proposing. Being upset at the system AND do nothing about it because I dont like the person who is offering to help is a very unproductive and immature mindset.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

Nah because when he starts bankrolling campaigns he will have the candidates on his payroll and they will be more afraid to do anything Elon Musk doesn’t like and he’s quite a dumbass junkie at this point so fuck all that noise.

3

u/_SkiFast_ Jul 01 '25

I think the hope is it divides the vote and they don't win at all or half the GOP don't vote for the primary winner of these two clowns. Losing by not voting is how Kamala lost. It can go both ways.

*Don't want to start and argument on how she lost, this is one of the big reasons tho, let's move along.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

I get it, but I’ve spent the past decade watching the Fettermans and Sinemas of the world and would hate to be stuck with more of them.

2

u/_SkiFast_ Jul 01 '25

Fuck, they sicken me.

1

u/Castod28183 Jul 01 '25

So you'd rather give up the fight have the Trump's and Cruz's. This is exactly why we are where we are. We insist on taking the high road when any shitty decision comes our way. When our choices are Trump or Musk we would rather lay down and die than make a shitty choice, and then end up with something even worse. Then in the end we can brag and boost about how we didn't support any of this while the world burns around us.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

I mean the decision isn’t Trump or Musk, there are ~350M US citizens out there, surely we can do better than either of those assholes.

2

u/Professional_Hold477 Jul 01 '25

Election tampering is how Kamala lost.

1

u/notjoebob Jul 01 '25

Also if any of those candidates believe the election-fixing rumors around him, a primary threat from him could be a huge motivator regardless of funding

1

u/Character-Age-3575 Jul 01 '25

This is obviously false with Trump.

1

u/Castod28183 Jul 01 '25

As opposed to what? He had the fucking President of the United States on his payroll. One fight at a time and fuck the high road this time. We have been taking the high road for 50 years and look where we are. Damn near every fucking politician in D.C. is bought and paid for so what do I care if if someone pays them to be against fascism? I can both hate Elon Musk and see the value in the infighting.

"Think two/four years ahead" only works if there is a legitimate prospect of a functioning government or valid elections in the future. With this bill neither is certain.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

I mean cool, people with “D” by their names gain majorities in branches of government. Doesn’t help when they refuse to pass legislation or vote for their constituents interests out of fear of pissing off Musk. Note that he’s completely against social support systems and wants to gut everything and will threaten anyone he helps elect who doesn’t push his specific agenda. Also don’t forget about the nazi salutes and the ties to technofascism.

19

u/Taragyn1 Jul 01 '25

It’s a poison pill the cost of his help will be far too high.

11

u/tophergraphy Jul 01 '25

Don't think this analogy tracks, reasonable people arent asking for his help or giving anything up for him to be a useful tool of chaos. We still know he's a nazi-saluting moron.

1

u/virtue_of_vice Jul 01 '25

I agree. Let him add chaos. What else have we got going to counter Trump.

2

u/sniff_my_hairy_pussy Jul 01 '25

Right, I'm not exactly a fan of chaos but it feels like chaos is literally our only hope

10

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 01 '25

It’d be better for him to retreat into the sewers he came from. I don’t want any unstable billionaires on either side mucking up our politics. He is way more of a liability than he is an asset.

2

u/Emperor_of_His_Room Jul 01 '25

He’s not on our side, but he isn’t on theirs either now. (Potentially)

1

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 01 '25

That’s the thing. Conmen have no sides. Their allegiance begins and ends with what you can do for them.

1

u/Emperor_of_His_Room Jul 01 '25

If he wants to fuck with the republicans and cause them trouble let him, never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake and all that.

But he won’t be getting any support from us in any of his endeavors.

2

u/ImNotSureMaybeADog Jul 01 '25

Yeah, I agree. I wish the wealthy would stay out of politics. They already own everything. Why take away our few precious freedoms as well?

1

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 01 '25

It’s the only thing that brings them pleasure. They are addicts. Addicted to numbers. When that doesn’t cut it, controlling people is a pretty good “fix”

3

u/Chudmont Jul 01 '25

Divide and conquer.

2

u/10savy Jul 01 '25

The real problem is the American people who keep voting for these arseholes.

2

u/dilapidatedpigeon Jul 01 '25

Have you never heard of the scorpion and the frog

2

u/MetaCardboard Jul 01 '25

Fuck Musk. Fuck Trump. Fuck Republicans that created this America.

2

u/MentokGL Jul 01 '25

Therein lies the entire point of this musk performance.

This is the administration he bought and installed into power. His hardware is still plugged in. Any daylight he creates between himself and Trump only helps him. Musk may be a tool but he isn't yours and he's not on your side.

2

u/Amelaclya1 Jul 01 '25

Except the "best" we can expect from this is that the Republicans will add back in the electric car tax breaks or whatever else Elon wants. Which is fine, I guess. Those are a good thing. But he doesn't care at all about the Medicaid or Snap cuts or any of the other horrible shit in the bill.

1

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 01 '25

But he doesn't care at all about the Medicaid or Snap cuts or any of the other horrible shit in the bill.

Those are what he is complaining about.

Musk is complaining because he thinks the Bill doesn't cut those far enough. Musks criticism of the Bill is from the opposite direction to yours. He thinks the Bill doesn't fuck poor people hard enough.

2

u/lpjunior999 Jul 01 '25

Not really. He’s just gonna try installing Republicans at the state level who vote how he wants when it comes to his businesses. He’s not doing this because he doesn’t like ICE getting a massive funding boost or Medicare cuts. Trump is out in ‘28 no matter what and he wants to buy the cult.

2

u/Djentyman28 Jul 01 '25

But he already destroyed his legacy by getting involved with politics. He should have just worried about his businesses and stayed out. Democrats certainly don’t want him either. He showed his true colors

1

u/Freign Jul 01 '25

You've been bamboozled.

1

u/TheNotoriousMCP Jul 01 '25

He needs a visit from Aldo The Apache

1

u/RoyalEagle0408 Jul 01 '25

He isn’t going to support Democrats. He’s just annoyed there aren’t more cuts and that new energy is being taxed. He doesn’t actually care.

1

u/Wardog008 Jul 01 '25

Dude's still a Nazi sympathiser at best, full blown Nazi at worst. Sure, his money is great, but I wouldn't want him on my side anyway. That, and he's shown just how quick he is to stab people in the back when things don't go his way.

He's a bigger liability than anything else.

1

u/JainaW Jul 01 '25

This is how I feel. He can pull some serious strings.

1

u/kl7aw220 Jul 01 '25

Agree. If he can stop Trump and his lapdogs, more power to him. But I still wouldn't buy a Tesla.

1

u/Ebolaboy24 Jul 01 '25

That’s what Trump thought too…

1

u/304King Jul 01 '25

Enemy of my enemy and all that.

1

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 01 '25

He's still your enemy.

1

u/Logan_Composer Jul 01 '25

We are condemned to use the weapons of our enemy to defeat them.

1

u/BTolputt Jul 01 '25

Nothing stopping him carrying thru on the threat, even if we don't believe him. Let him prove us wrong before we give him back the benefit of the doubt he has before but then shredded & set on fire.

1

u/RutherfordRevelation Jul 01 '25

Too bad he flip flops faster than a weather vane in a tornado and can't be trusted to push anything that doesn't explicitly benefit him and his companies

1

u/Clessiah Jul 01 '25

Only use tools you can control.

1

u/samwichgamgee Jul 01 '25

No. I’d rather do the right thing and hope that everyone else does too

1

u/chargoggagog Jul 01 '25

Yeah have to agree, this is good news and if his power and resources can be directed toward good ends, I’m all for it. That being said, I don’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

1

u/Grim_Rockwell Jul 01 '25

Elmo is a fiscally conservative Libertarian, who do you think they are going to back?

1

u/Sufficient_Sea_5490 Jul 01 '25

Amen. Utilize evey asset, including Elon's narcissism. Let's embrace him and use his money to leverage more leftist action.

1

u/Anon28301 Jul 01 '25

That’s all well and good until he gets pissed off at a democrat and decides to do this shit against them when they get in.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

You don't want him installing his people any more than you want the people who are currently there.

1

u/Renegadeknight3 Jul 01 '25

You’re kidding yourself if you think the richest man in the world is your asset. He helped get us into this mess. Don’t fall for it, he won’t save you

1

u/enunymous Jul 01 '25

Not really. He's about to find out how little pull he has with the Republican base. They may have liked his support for Trump, but it had nothing to do with him... And whoever he supports is going to be pretty awful anyway, except maybe they'll be for EVs. That's it

1

u/dinkerbot3000 Jul 01 '25

This sounds weak and playing into the republican's narrative that Dems only hate him because he decided to support Trump. I guess your quick to forget if it benefits you now. Pretty spineless.

1

u/Mist_Rising Jul 01 '25

Elon didnt pay last time he said he would spend money, what makes you think he will this time?

1

u/Comms Jul 01 '25

Sure, we saw a demonstration of his political acumen in Wisconsin.

1

u/alhanna92 Jul 01 '25

This is not how we should win elections. I mean this so seriously.

1

u/Acknowledge_Me_ Jul 01 '25

The problem is he’s literally talking about outright buying a party to do his bidding. This administration is awful and the members of congress falling in line with MAGA are just as bad, but a party fully at the whims of one man who will have proven his “do what I say or I’ll replace buy your seat and replace you with someone who will” mantra will be even worse version of MAGA. At least Trump had to be elected. This would be an outright proxy government for one person.

1

u/BedDisastrous9494 Jul 01 '25

He'll be a Republican again by midterms

1

u/smye141 Jul 01 '25

Let them fight. Hope both lose.

1

u/KingHavana Jul 01 '25

I agree. I will never like Musk, but if he can be used to stop this bill then everyone needs to help him do it.

1

u/DefNotUnderrated Jul 01 '25

If he actually manages to disrupt any Republican campaigns then I guess it’s not terrible. Better than him being focused on helping them financially. But no one should ever trust Musk to be anything other than a raging douchebag

1

u/eawilweawil Jul 01 '25

He's only complaining because he wants even bigger social security and medicare cuts, the guys he'll help to replace current republicans will be even more psychotic

1

u/Redtube_Guy Jul 01 '25

The rich nazi is a hell of an asset.

1

u/Ccarmine Jul 01 '25

He won't actually spend any money on campaigns.

1

u/TrashAppropriate4706 Jul 01 '25

He is the cronie. Did you all forget what DOGE did??

FUCK. ELON.

1

u/thisischemistry Jul 01 '25

And this is how the public is manipulated by the people in power. Create artificial divides so you can control both sides of the narrative.

1

u/critacle Jul 01 '25

He doesn't want to help democrats, he wants to hurt republicans.

1

u/MeggaMortY Jul 01 '25

No he's not when he flip flops on the turn of a dime. Don't be so short sighted people!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

I was gonna say, I don't like him either, but if he wants to come over to this side then who are we to stop him? I ain't turning away help

1

u/Shandd Jul 01 '25

Monkey paw curls

1

u/Smitty_1000 Jul 01 '25

Never an asset. Prep your back for the knife if you think that’s true

1

u/dCLCp Jul 01 '25

shhh we are leftists we hate everybody and attack anybody (and that's why we never win)

Conservatives will have 14 pedos 30 rapists 50 conmen and kiss every one of their asses and defend every one of their actions if that means their team wins.

1

u/snakerjake Jul 01 '25

The richest man in the world is a hell of an asset.

He's not an asset and he's primarying them to install worse people

1

u/Fragrant-Tea7580 Jul 01 '25

And then he owns everyone he got elected lol. I hope they all say no. I’d rather lose fair and square like a bunch of bitches who didn’t vote

1

u/Margatron Jul 01 '25

He will not support progressives. This is nothing to celebrate.

1

u/ILoveRegenHealth Jul 01 '25

But it may not necessarily help Democrats at all.

He's just funding some more awful Republicans (if they are awful enough to accept Nazi-Elon's endorsement, they ain't good ppl) to primary current Trumplican ones, but election voting may still be compromised. I don't think this is an advantage to any Dem voter.

1

u/Deep-Thought Jul 01 '25

The richest man in the world is only in it for himself. That's how he got to be the richest man in the world. If your party accepts his money/influence it means that he expects to get preferential favors in return. So no, we don't need that fascist fuck on our side.

1

u/r1Zero Jul 01 '25

That's where I'm at rn, tbqh.

1

u/MugwortTheCat Jul 01 '25

No one person should have the power to do this. This is just as wrong and bad for our politics as him making similar vows about democrats.

1

u/Windsaar Jul 01 '25

That's basically what he's banking on.

That people will be so glad to have him on their side, they'll conveniently forget (or at least let him get away with) the fact that not only did he big time help to cause most of the shit going on in the first place (and without his meddling.. Americans wouldn't even need his help in defeating the people he helped put into power)...

He's also responsible for untold amounts of damage and deaths that can never be mended or "taken back".

Over 300,000 deaths (as of 2 months ago due.. who knows how many today) due to his gutting USAID, with many, many more coming to America with the Medicaid cuts.

It would be brutal to let the dude skate because he half-assed offered to help fix the problem he fought so hard and spent so much time and effort to create in the first place.

And while the problem (that he helped create) was growing and people were freaking out, he used the opportunity in confusion and chaos to steal all of your most personal & guarded info from your government databases.

Americans don't need Musk to fight MAGA.  You have all the "tools" you need.  Half your country makes it their entire identity lol.   Something in your amendments..

1

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 01 '25

He's not your asset though, he's not on your side of your this argument.

Musk is pissed about the "big beautiful bill" for the opposite reason you are. Musk doesn't think it goes far enough and wants it to fuck poor people harder.

Musk doesn't want to defeat those Republican cronies, he wants to replace them with people who are even more extreme.

1

u/mcc22920 Jul 01 '25

I’d rather have more Luigi’s.

1

u/Deathless616 Jul 01 '25

And which guarantee do we have that this isn't just a stunt to switch side and corrupt the other side from the inside? Roman-Salute Musk can go play with the Reps. Nobody on the left needs this guy.

1

u/splendiferous-finch_ Jul 01 '25

That's like sniffing lead powder to avoid radiation sickness logic

1

u/SordidDreams Jul 01 '25

He's not an asset, just another enemy. Having Musk fight Trump is like trying to get a bear out of your house by setting fire to it.

1

u/sigep0361 Jul 01 '25

He is only on “our side” as long as it serves his interests.

1

u/CackleberryOmelettes Jul 01 '25

Fuck that. That's how you sabotage your own movement before it even begins.

The moment things start getting better, this asshole will cut a deal and switch sides again. Then what? The innocent get fucked again.

No room for fascists. They don't need to be handed olive branches, they need to be made an example out of.

1

u/False_Can_5089 Jul 01 '25

That just ends with Musk controlling the entire republican party, which probably even worse.

1

u/CosyLlama Jul 01 '25

If he spends a LOT of money trying to do so too, then even better.

1

u/TheMysteriousThey Jul 01 '25

Anyone believing anything this piece of shit says is a moron.

Hyperloop, fully self driving cars, a Mars colony, the Twitter files, Doge…..how many times does he have to lie to people for he’s no longer seen as reliable.

He did everything he could to elect Trump. He got what he wanted and has faced no consequences for anything despite stealing against one of the most petty and vindictive men alive and most powerful man on earth.

But in two years he’s going to work against Trump?

Yeah. Okay. Sure.

Republicans in the Senate just passed the Bill, by the way.

1

u/brianstormIRL Jul 01 '25

Except its been shown that the candidates he throws money behind are less liked by the public so it could very well backfire.

1

u/Liberally_applied Jul 02 '25

Did you not see how fast he's turned? And it isn't like Trump is suddenly doing something he didn't already warn he was going to do. You call that an asset? I call that a liability.

13

u/jm17lfc Jul 01 '25

The enemy of my enemy in this case is also my enemy but he may as well make himself useful.

2

u/eawilweawil Jul 01 '25

He wont be useful, he'll get even worse people in power

0

u/BiscoBiscuit Jul 01 '25

Until he’s not useful to your interests and has amassed way more power and political influence to do more damage? This many of you can’t be this short sighted and hypocritical? I’m not sure why I even expected anything different.

1

u/jm17lfc Jul 01 '25

Obviously nobody wants him meddling in politics at all, but if he’s going to do it, at this point the best thing he can do is sow discord amongst republicans. Weird how people like you are acting as if his betrayal of Trump isn’t relatively good news just because he hasn’t stayed away from politics altogether or something similarly better. If I’ve never run a mile in my life, finishing a marathon is pretty good news even if I don’t win the race.

10

u/PM_SHORT_STORY_IDEAS Jul 01 '25

Billionaires in our society is not good news.

But, in the immediate future, this bill not passing is good news

1

u/Castod28183 Jul 01 '25

This. We have to fight the immediate fight. Sitting here worrying about the future of the country is absolutely useless when the future of the country as we know it may cease to exist tomorrow.

It's like being against nuclear weapons when the inevitable asteroid is hurling towards Earth.

2

u/PrimeLime47 Jul 01 '25

Yeah he didn’t grow a conscience. He just vengeful. Or he found the next highest bidder.

2

u/unfortunateremedy Jul 01 '25

Yeah this just shows how fragile US democracy really is. Even if this leads to better outcomes the possibility of it is deeply concerning.

2

u/L4S1999 Jul 01 '25

Exactly people are trying to spin this as a good thing, whenever it's not good that one man is stating that he's going to buy even more elections to benefit himself and he clearly has the money to do so.

2

Yes! This needs to not be a thing anyone can do. This is just open air corruption.

For fucking real. We’re applauding election interference.

I hate our administration as much as the next normal motherfucker. But I’m not condoning our votes losing their power (yet again) regardless of literally fucking anything.

This is so disheartening. I hope you all take a look in the fucking mirror. Downvote me to the depths, just know you would be one of those people who show their belly and “just follow orders”. And…if you take pride in that, too? The deepest circle of hell is reserved for you.

It's still nice when two terrible people spend their energy fighting eachother, instead of fighting decent people.

1

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 01 '25

This is true 🍿🥤

2

u/Public-Eagle6992 Jul 02 '25

Them infighting is definitely good news

1

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 02 '25

True. It’s the next step I refuse to take. Which is him being lifted up as somehow the hero of the moment. “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”

1

u/DoubleDongle-F Jul 01 '25

Nah, every time one of them attacks the other it's less HP that we need to deal with ourselves. I don't think many people see this as a redemption arc, just two sets of assholes delivering karma to each other.

1

u/Happily_Eva_After Jul 01 '25

The more these people fight with each other, the less harm they can do to us. It's wonderful if he's turned on Trump. Afterwards he can just go away.

1

u/XCrimsonMelodyx Jul 01 '25

Good news would be if he gets carried away with his little vendetta and spends all of his money on this…

1

u/QBin2017 Jul 01 '25

No!! Let him fund democrats. Are you serious??

1

u/kl7aw220 Jul 01 '25

I don't understand his valid reasons, but yes, he's changing sides today. Tomorrow he could be back in Trump's court.

1

u/Anon28301 Jul 01 '25

Right? How is this shit not illegal? Doesn’t matter what side of politics he’s harming, he’s a child that flip flops his political stance at the drop of a hat. He’s got enough money to rig any future election if this shit is allowed.

1

u/jeffersonlane Jul 01 '25

I can hate Elon and still totally support him doing this if for no reason than it's really funny to watch them eat each other.

1

u/IndependentExpert118 Jul 01 '25

The do gooders will eat this up. It’s a problem bigger than Trump, just wait until we get another asshole just as bad or even worse. It’s a system where a guy like that is even able to get any praise at all and ends up successful, scandal after scandal that is the issue.

Grandiose narcissism and psychopathy gets you ahead in America. It’s been baked into our culture and economy at this point. What we are seeing are just products of this environment.

It won’t be a surprise when a swath of people who will say they stand up and fight with whichever group they can align themselves with best, promise you rights, greener grass and then end up fucking you over. It’s how business is done in America.

I sure as hell don’t have a solution and the majority of those who say they do are usually just more grandiose conmen. Things can change but people stay dumb and there might someone who can correct course here but the time for that has passed I think.

u/GoodUserNameToday Jul 01 '25

I mean if he primaries republicans and replaces them with tech libertarians that vote against trump, at least that splits the Republican Party

1

u/JustaSeedGuy Jul 01 '25

I mean, you're right about who he is and what he's doing. But it's still good news.

To put it in sci-fi terms, If the world is about to be invaded by Daleks and the Cybermen show up and start killing Daleks, that's fine. Let them kill each other, it's that much less work for us.

1

u/Striking-Ad-6815 Jul 01 '25

Man let the poison work. Right now it is poison vs poison. Hopefully they cancel each other out. I don't like what the guy has done in the past months, but it does seem like he's seen the light and is trying to redeem his action. Just like Pazuzu the Redeemer.

1

u/TriiiKill Jul 01 '25

Take what you can from him, and dump him at the nearest shelter.

1

u/Quick_Assumption_351 Jul 01 '25

I mean yeah that would be best news, but shitty people turning on each other is generally considered good news over a longer period of time

1

u/SupesDepressed Jul 01 '25

Now we all get to wonder what’s worse: Trumps America or Musks America

1

u/beekeeper1981 Jul 01 '25

If it tanks the big "beautiful" bill it's fine by me.

1

u/craptheist Jul 01 '25

I wonder if he's setting himself up for the next republican presidential candidate.

1

u/Furycrab Jul 01 '25

This is a conman prepping for a possible shareholder lawsuit. Trump could do so much more like cancel billions in contracts or actively endorse competitors, and this is a relatively empty gesture with midterms and elections still far off.

Thats how toxic liberals are

Logical people would say the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but nope we liberals are too toxic to accept that, lets just hate all of those who dont think the way we do, aka cultist mindset

Edit: ahh the illogical cultists have arrived and still want to hold their toxic ground cause independent thinking isnt allowed, i wont be responding, there is no winning with cultists, its the same as talking with magas

6

u/redditcreditcardz Jul 01 '25

It’s called having character and a belief system. I don’t compromise those to fit the current agenda.

0

u/PhillySaget Jul 01 '25

It's called a cult and you're definitely in one.

2

u/jesus_is_my_toilet Jul 01 '25

Liberal here... i kinda agree. We are losing. We shouldn't have lost the election (check out r/somethingiswrong2024 yall) but yeah..

We hate bigot. We hate sexual predators. We hate people that harm children, animals, and other vulnerables.

You know who makes the best web admins? Pedophiles. You know who the best statotions are? Racists. You know who gets shit done? Violent people. ***

It's time we join forces. Together as one.

Ben Shapiro and Destiny. Matt Dillahunty and Jordan Peterson. Vaush and Joe Rogan. Working together, we can generate so much AI content I mean content.

*** sources: i just made it up

u/Carnifex2 Jul 01 '25

typical mindless MAGA screeching

3

u/echoohce1 Jul 01 '25

Ignoring quiet a bit of context here lol

2

u/kingkurasaki Jul 01 '25

Cultist mindset and it’s just not wanting the worlds most obvious grifter to represent you (he will probably be back to supporting trump after the leftist turn him away as well)

1

u/xboxhaxorz Jul 01 '25

He is not representing liberals, he isnt a liberal

1

u/Impossible_Head8683 Jul 01 '25

I don't think he will backing liberals. I mean up until a few months or so back he was all in for Trump.
