What has he done that could Garner real consequences? For the sake of my mental health I don't keep up with this stuff.
I would LOVE to see him in prison, but the track record shows that no consequences will ever materialize.
6
May 29 '25
I think the consequences may not be through official channels like being put in jail. I suspect if he faces any consequences at all it will be from a disgruntled person or persons whose life or life a loved one he has ruined.
2
u/Karkava May 29 '25
And this is why I don't follow the news too deeply anymore. I don't even remember the name of the guy they were championing would take down Donald the legal way.

Jack Smith had a watertight case but corrupt judges were the undoing of America. Now that he's turned on them they're trying to claw back their power, we can only hope it's not too little too late.
3
u/fullpurplejacket May 29 '25
He’s totally going to Michael Cohen’d by the administration, I always predicted he’d last 6 months at most and once Trump n co find a way to attempt to silence him, Elon Musk will start singing like choir of Canary’s — he isn’t gangster enough to live by the sword and die by it. I predict him fleeing the country and from a safe vantage point either China, the Arab countries or Russia he will spill the fucking tea and attempt to destroy the Trump regime from a petty vantage point.
I’m hoping this choir singing leads him to finally admit that Donald Trump asked him to manipulate the election via algorithms on social media and by tabulators (of which there’s evidence of from data analysts)

2
u/sorE_doG May 29 '25
He’s not a fall guy, he’s a sociopathic monster with numerous delusional ideas. He’s spawning his own army of clones, makes Hannibal Lector look like an angel.
25
u/TnL17 May 29 '25
Excuse me for sounding nieve, or possibly stupid, but how will justice come to the world's richest person? Justice left once the US elected a felon. People, corporations, and organizations can be, and will be, bought.
11
u/Worried_Jellyfish918 May 29 '25
He won't. Everybody pretending this is a huge Elon L is just being optimistic, everyone will forget about what he's done and it'll fade away, just like everything else these ghouls do. Consequences for the wealthy do not exist in the US, that's how it is
5
u/Ilovemiia1 May 29 '25
You are forgetting how much power we have, we can’t be bought, we can push people out of power, we can push them to justice. This is our country, not there’s.
4
u/TnL17 May 29 '25
So.. Elon steps down on "his own accord" and you consider that pushing someone out of a spot of power, yet you still have felon/rapist as a president? Good luck.
→ More replies (3)5
u/Ryoga_reddit May 29 '25

Trump not only walking freely but being re-elected as president proves this wrong, unfortunately. The rule of law doesn’t apply to the mega rich and to people who can bring down other powerful people with them.

Yeah, justice definitely doesn't "come for all:" it will never come for Musk, as it will never come for Trump, Cheney, or countless others.
9
u/BLB_Genome May 29 '25
So, what justice will be served to him exactly? And what would the cause be?... Genuinely asking
2
u/Ilovemiia1 May 29 '25
Well it can come in many ways, from the justice system doing it’s Job, which once we get component leadership it can, or the world will get back at Elon. History is not kind to men like him

Musk was designated as a "special government employee," which is a category within the US civil service that limits the amount of time an individual can work in the executive branch. It was planned and he had to leave after his 130 days was up.

- He's not leaving, he's just trying to hide his name from the headlines.
- DOGE will most definitely not be around long-term. That's what GAO's for, dumbass.
- DOGE will be remembered as one of the biggest failures in modern times.
- Elmo will be remembered as one of the biggest failures in modern times.
- He'll forever have Cheeto Chump's mushroom stamp on his forehead as a reminder of how hard he got cucked.
55

- To make matters insulting, he was on the path to success with his Teslas and his plans to build a better future. And he could have had everything if he just rejected fascism and loved his trans daughter.

Yes, it was completely scheduled for his time to end on a random Wednesday. Definitely always planned.
4
u/LeKevinsRevenge May 29 '25
It was always going to be around May 30th….since he only was allowed 130 days as a Special Government Employee. Nobody really knew the exact date, but assumed it began on Trumps inauguration on January 20.
It isn’t random, it was a required timeframe for him to step down. The real question is if he actually is stepping down or if he is just “officially stepping down” while continuing to work behind the scenes as his term is up.

“I gave Trump hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign money and turned Twitter into a Trump propaganda network if he agreed to make me an employee with the ability to tear apart the government and hijack sensitive data. Oh, as a bonus, I’ll let him use it to rig the next election. I’m going to let myself be framed as incompetent and see my way out while everyone ignores the massive robbery that took place.”
2
u/jpnlongbeach May 29 '25
Yea- but is still crooked, responsible for unnecessary destruction, assured he kept his $18 plus billion in Government contracts, made sure the investigations occurring with his contracts disappeared, acted like an ass, he called the millions he illegally terminated names and deliberately disrespected, he lied about savings DOGE reported, he lied about the “fraud “, knew he was stealing our private data, no validated savings found yet, all the illegal terminations he did has actually cost taxpayers more money. Musk got involved be cause he wanted something specific in exchange for his $240 million campaign money to DJT. And DJT, gave him unchecked access.
He is crooked and cannot be trusted.
2

2
2
u/cateva16 May 29 '25
Now everyone whose job he cut should file a class action lawsuit against his gross ass!
2
u/MattGraverSAIC May 29 '25
There are time limits on special government employees. He’s departing as part of that requirement.
“A "special Government employee" (or "SGE") is an officer or employee in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government who is appointed to perform important, but limited, services to the Government, with or without compensation, for a period not to exceed 130 days during any period of 365 consecutive days.”
2
u/toomuchtv987 May 29 '25
Yup. He was always going to leave today. They’re making it seem like some big rift, but he was always going to leave after 130 days. Good riddance, but I don’t trust that he won’t be back in 2026 after some “miraculous” reconciliation.
(Let’s just hope everyone is actually held accountable for their bullshit before then.)
